1 Global Premier Soccer 2015 Curriculum Sessions When Working In A Small Space

3 Passing Diamond Pass and follow pass in following sequence then All play is one touch where possible or Weight and accuracy of pass Firm crisp passes along the ground Concentration to know sequence Passing Diamond Passing sequence now becomes As 1 passes to for 1 overlaps 4 and passes to 3. 1 stays as new 4 and 4 follows pass to 3. First pass can go to either 3 or 4. Weight and accuracy of pass Firm crisp passes along the ground Concentration to know sequence
4 Wall Pass Combination 2 players on each cone with 3 players in the middle. Ball is passed around the outside of the cones. A wall pass combination must be played around each cone by combining with a central player. Outside players follow pass to next cone. Rotate central players 1 Touch play Quality of passing Awareness from central players of where next combination will take place Timing of support for combination Angle and distance of support Wall Pass Combination As above but now there are 2 squares that over lap. Red team around one square, white team around another. 1 ball per group is passed around the square with a wall pass played around each cone. Central players work together and move to combine with outside players. 1 Touch play Quality of passing Awareness from central players of where next combination will take place Awareness of space and traffic Timing of support for combination Angle and distance of support
5 Passing Combination One player on each cone with all other players on start cone. Players check away from cone to receive, pass and follow pass. Last player dribbles back to the start. Receive with back foot into space Players now play a give and go combination around the cone Weight and accuracy of set and lay off Ball is now set back and switched to the next cone, player who sets moves to support 3rd person in sequence Players can choose any one of the three options Weight and accuracy of set and lay off
6 Passing Combination Split players into teams of 5. Each team has 2 players in one quarter with a ball and one player in the rest of the quarters. Players must pass to team mate in another quarter and follow pass. Receive with back foot into space Players now play a give and go combination to pass ball into next section Weight and accuracy of set and lay off Players now set ball back for a switch into next section. Player who sets moves into next section to support and make next switch pass Players can choose any one of the three options Weight and accuracy of set and lay off
7 Passing with reaction Split players in two lines. 2 players play one touch passes between them with their right foot. Red team will be the leader. As soon as the red player uses their left foot they must run to either gate. White player must react and try and beat red player. Switch roles Players now play 1 touch passes until leader takes ball and tries to dribble through a gate. Add in a goal, player now takes ball and tries to get a shot away before ball is stolen Quality of passing Quick reaction to trigger Rondo 8v3+2 Reds try and keep possession away from the white team. Player losing possession switches with defender that won possession. One touch only 10 passes = goal Be on toes ready to receive pass Quick foot work Disguise on passes
8 Technical Passing Set Up/Rules 20x25 yard area with 2 cones placed centrally. Have two grids side by side if large numbers Ball starts with player 1 and team pass the ball in number order shown by diagram. Movement to create space Trigger for movement is team mates first touch Firm, crisp passes to back foot Positive first touch out from feet Right foot pass on right side - left foot passes on left side Two balls working at the same time. Technical Passing Set Up/Rules Two players on each cone with 2 players central. Player 1 passes into central player #2 who sets ball for other central player #3. Pass is then played to any outside cone #4. Process is repeated. Players follow their pass. Firm, crisp passes Movement of central players to combine Communication One touch passing Technical Passing Set Up/Rules Now add another ball that must be continuously passed around the outside of the square. Firm, crisp passes Awareness of both balls in play Communication
9 Technical Passing Set Up 12x12 yard square with a 4x4 yard square inside. 1 player on each of the central cones with 2 players on outside cones. Players pass and follow their pass Same passing pattern on each side of the square. 1 ball in play One touch passing Reverse direction Firm, crisp passes Timing of movements Communication Technical T Passing Exercise Set Up Set out cones in a T shape with 10 yard gaps. 1-2 players on each cone. #1 passes to #2. #2 sets back to #1 who passes #3. #3 sets back to #2 who passes to either #4 or #5 who dribble back to the start. Players follow their pass. One touch passing New passing sequence: or 5-4 Firm, crisp passes Timing of movements away from cone Communication
