1 NEUROLOGY FOR THE NON-NEUROLOGIST Friday, May 1, 2015 Holiday Inn Harrisburg East 4751 Lindle Road Harrisburg, PA A continuing education service of Penn State College of Medicine

2 PURPOSE Neurological disorders are among the most common conditions seen in clinical practice, and uncomplicated cases are well-managed by primary care. However, neurology is a rapidly changing field, with new treatments constantly evolving. A major goal of this annual symposium is to provide an update for primary care providers on treatment approaches to common conditions including stroke, neuromuscular disorders, epilepsy, Parkinson disease and multiple sclerosis. AUDIENCE Internal and family medicine physicians, physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians and therapists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, physical and occupational therapists, and registered nurses may benefit from attending this program. OBJECTIVES Describe diagnostic approaches for a variety of neurological conditions including cerebrovascular disease, neuromuscular disorders, seizures and epilepsy, Parkinson disease, neurological disorders in children, and multiple sclerosis.
