12 Key Action 1: Learning mobility of individuals Key Action 1 supports mobility in the education, training and youth sectors and aims to bring long lasting benefits to the participants and the participating organisations involved.
13 What is a Learning Mobility Project? Transnational mobility activities targeting learners and staff to: - support learners in the acquisition of competences (knowledge, skills and attitudes) to improve their personal development and employability in the European labour market; - support the professional development of those who work in VET to innovate and improve the quality of VET across Europe;
14 What is a Learning Mobility Project? - enhance the participants' foreign languages competence; - raise participants' awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries; - build networks of international contacts, to actively participate in society and develop a sense of European citizenship and identity
15 Types of Activities Learner Mobility Staff Mobility
16 Learner Mobility VET Traineeship Duration: min 2 weeks max 12 months Open to: - apprentices p - students in vocational training schools - recent graduates from VET schools or from companies providing VET to apprentices (must undertake their training placement within one year of graduation)
17 Learner Mobility Who will undertake a vocational training placement in another country At: a workplace or VET school (with periods of work based learning in an enterprise of other organisation)
18 Learner Mobility Learning outcomes are formally recognised and validated at an institutional level; Course contents are adapted as necessary to ensure that the mobility period abroad fits well with the course in which the apprentice/vet student is enrolled.
19 Staff Mobility Teaching/training assignments: - allows staff of VET schools to teach at a partner VET school abroad; - allows staff of enterprises to provide training at a VET organisation abroad. Staff training: - supports the professional development of VET staff in the form of a work placement or a job shadowing/observation period abroad in an enterprise or any other VET organisation
20 Duration Staff Mobility - From 2 days to 2 months (excluding travel time) Open to: - Any person working for an organisation active in the field of VET and being in charge of VET e.g. teachers, trainers, international mobility officers, staff with administrative or guidance functions, etc. For teaching/training assignments, the Action is also open to persons from enterprises, public sector and/or civil society organisations.
21 Minimum two partners Summary If National VET Consortium at least 3 VET organisations Mobility duration: Learners: 2 weeks 12 months Staff: 2 days 2 months excluding travel times One application to include one or more of VET traineeships Teaching / training assignments Staff training Project duration: 1 / 2 years One application per VET organisation or National VET consortium
22 A mobility project will consist of: - Preparation (including practical arrangements, selection of participants, set up of agreements with partners and participants, linguistic/intercultural/task-related preparation of participants before departure); - Implementation of the mobility activities; - Follow-up (including the evaluation of the activities, the formal recognition - where applicable - of the learning outcomes of participants during the activity and dissemination and use of the project's outcomes).
