1 MICROSOFT OUTLOOK 2007 CONFIGURATION VIA RPC NETWORK FOR WINDOWS XP / VISTA

3 CLIENT SYSTEM CONFIGURATION OUTLOOK 2007 OUTLOOK 2007 CONFIGURATION System Requirements: Windows XP/ Vista Office 2007 Certificate for Windows XP / Vista MS OUTLOOK VIA RPC NETWORK 1. Configure user s account. To start, click on [Start] [Settings] [Control Panel] 2. Right-click on Mail icon in the control panel then select [Open]. [Page 3 of 14]

4 3. Click on [ Accounts] button as shown below. 4. Click on [New] option under account settings page. [Page 4 of 14]

5 5. Choose the Microsoft Exchange POP3, IMAP or HTTP option then click on [Next] Button. 6. Click / ticked on the check box to configure manually then click on [Next] button. [Page 5 of 14]

6 7. Choose the [MICROSOFT EXCHANGE] and click on [Next] button. 8. In the Microsoft Exchange Server input box, type EXCHCLUSTER.seacon.com.sg, (Ensure the Use Cached Exchange Mode is checked / ticked) In the User Name input box, type the user s name. Example: Mary DO NOT Click on the Check Name button at this point. 9. For MS Outlook RPC connection, click on the [More Settings] button. [Page 6 of 14]

7 10. Select the [Connection] tab and check the [Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP] options then click on [Exchange Proxy Settings] button. 11. Type webmail.seacon.com.sg as the URL to connect to proxy server. Type msstd:webmail.seacon.com.sg as the principal name for proxy server. (Need to check the Mutually authenticate. Option before you can key this in) Check / ticked all other checkbox in this page as shown below: Type webmail.seacon.com.sg Type msstd: webmail.seacon.com.sg [Page 7 of 14]

8 12. Before clicking on the [Ok] button, please ensure that you have downloaded the RPC certificate. 13. When you open your outlook, system will asked to log on. Enter your username preceded by seacon\. (e.g seacon\maryc) and your password then click on [OK] button. DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL CERTIFICATE FOR XP 1. Login to helpdesk system ( to download cert. 2. Click on [Downloads] Option from the Seacon Helpdesk System. 3. Click on more files 4. Click on XP certificate then click on [Downloads] button. [Page 8 of 14]

9 5. A dialog box appears, Click on [Open] button to proceed with installation. OUTLOOK 2007 CONFIGURATION 6. Click on [Install Certificate] button as show below: 7. Click on [Next] button to proceed with next step. [Page 9 of 14]

10 8. Select option [Automatically select the certificate.] then click on [Next] button. OUTLOOK 2007 CONFIGURATION 9. Certificate will import successfully when you click on [Finish] button. [Page 10 of 14]

11 DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL CERTIFICATE FOR WINDOWS VISTA 1. Login to helpdesk system ( to download cert. 2. Click on [Downloads] Option from the Seacon Helpdesk System. 3. Click on more files 4. Click on Vista certificate then click on [Downloads] button. 5. A dialog box appears, Click on [Open] button to proceed with installation. [Page 11 of 14]

12 6. Double click on C: \... folder under logical store Name section 7. Double click the Certificates folder 8. Click on Cert.seacon.com.sg 9. Click on [Install Certificate] button as show below: [Page 12 of 14]

13 10. Click on [Next] button to proceed with next step. 11. Select option [Place all certificates in the following store] then click on [Browse] button. [Page 13 of 14]

14 12. Choose the [Trusted Root Certification Authorities] folder then click on [Ok] button. After select folder, click on [Next] button to proceed next process. 13.
