After the success of last year s sale, this year s important auction will once again offer connoisseurs of jewellery and vintage watches the chance to acquire exceptional pieces. And Artcurial will be present on the Rock just as the Principality is celebrating the wedding between His Serene Highness Prince Albert of Monaco and Miss Charlene Wittstock. IMPORTANT JEWELLERY The leading names in luxury jewellery, including Cartier, Boucheron, Van Cleef & Arpels, Chaumet and Chanel, will be represented in the sale, which combines recent collector s pieces with vintage jewellery designed by the biggest names on Place Vendôme. Major items range from a gold and diamond parure by Van Cleef & Arpels (c.1960) to a magnificent 1940s pink gold brooch by Cartier and a coral and yellow gold floral ring by Dior. There will also be works by contemporary designers like Marguerita Burgener, and by artists such as César and Arman, with an exceptional collection of Arman s Colères in their jewellery version. 2 Vintage jewellery will also feature prominently, notably with a charming necklace of fine pearls and enamelled gold by Giuliano; a superb gold and diamond trembleuse brooch; and an enamelled gold pendant by Falize. Among the coloured stones will be an exceptional 6.02-carat ruby from Tajikistan, along with sapphires, emeralds and some exquisite amethysts and aquamarines. Diamond aficionados will be enchanted by the wide choice available, with diamonds of all shapes and qualities, ranging in size from 2-10 carats and above, some of them signed Boucheron or Cartier.
