1 CHAPTER V CONCLUSIONS AND SUGGESTIONS 1. Conclusions Based on my research analysis about the Tom and Jerry Comic in improving students ability in vocabulary, I woud like to present some conclusions as follows: Firstly, in teaching and learning vocabulary process by applied the appropriate media, technique, and good method can motivation, interest, and excitement to the students. So it help students understanding and commucatively, when teach the materials. The media, technique, and good method can bring success in learning and teaching vocabulary in the classroom. Secondly, comics as a kind of cartoon form expressing character and playing a story in sequences of closely related drawing and designing to give fun to the readers. It contain with several continued stories. The stories is brief interesting, and completed with action. Comics also appear in news paper and book. It can be concluded that comic is an art work which has sequence of stories about characteristics, events, humorous, mysterious, etc. Thirdly, Tom and Jerry Comic is one alternative media that can use in teaching process because the students need enjoyable space for study English as foreign language especially vocabulary. We should make interesting way to teach English such use media to stimulate students brain in learning.
2 Fourtly, the rise of the students ability in mastering vocabulary through comic can be seen from the result from the result of the post-test which I better than the pre-test by the total score which analyzed the pre-test is 331 and post-test is 470. Besides that, the mean score in pre-test is and post-test is So, it can be seen the different between them. Finally, the hypothesis of this research is the application of Tom and Jerry comic can improve significantly students ability in mastering vocabulary is acceptable this can be showed from the result of the students score in pre-test 3.95 and post-test So, the hypothesis of this research was received 2. Suggestion Based on conclusion above, I suggest that in teaching English to developed the students in learning English the teacher should find the implementation of a good media related to the lesson plan and students ability. Because media is important in learning English, especially by applied Tom and Jerry comic in teaching vocabulary. The students can received the material if they are happy or enjoy the class. Comic help and encourage many students cheerfully atmosphere and motivation the students to learn better. So, their vocabulary improved and it can help them to communicate with each other by using English. It is better for the teacher in applying comic to improve students ability in mastering vocabulary, the English teacher helps the students to explore their memory about the vocabulary. They can easly to understand the material and the students became more enthusiast, also the students not boring to learn English. So,
3 I suggest to English teacher to use this media to improve the students ability in mastering vocabulary. I suggest to the teacher to apply Tom and Jerry comic at junior high school, because this comic is useful for students in finding the words related to Tom and Jerry comic. Finally, this research can be used as one of references for other researchers in conducting they research in the field of English education, especially in laerning vocabulary by using comic as teaching media. Also it can be used as a comparison for future studies in the same field.
