1 Advantis is a family of products and services that furnish EMV issuer with the entire infrastructure needed for processing financial transactions with multi-application smart cards. Advantis is a new generation of operating systems for multi-application smart cards that combine in a single chip EMV, the debit/credit VIS and M/Chip applications and additional applications such as electronic purse, authentication, transport, etc. Advantis Crypto Contactless JavaCard incorporates JavaCard-GlobalPlatform technology for dynamic downloading of applets into a single card, even after the card has been issued to the end-user, in accordance with the international standards set by GlobalPlatform. The Advantis Crypto Contactless JavaCard operating system facilitates the storage and use of digital signatures via RSA keys. The crypto-processor supports numerous PKI applications: sending and receiving encrypted , logical and physical access control, etc. With its contactless technology, Advantis Crypto Contactless JavaCard provides a high level of service within environments in which transaction speed and secure data storage are key factors.
2 Advantages MULTI-PROFILE Cards with the Advantis Crypto Contactless JavaCard operating system can be configured with different profiles defined for the cardholder by the issuing institution. Some profile parameters may be modified after the issue date, enabling issuers to react to new risk factors without the expense of issuing a new card. MULTI-BRAND The Advantis Crypto Contactless JavaCard operating system implements the requisites for issuing cards in combination with proprietary applications on the same platform, which translates into a savings of operating and maintenance costs. MULTI-APPLICATION The Advantis Crypto Contactless JavaCard operating system provides financial institutions with a single technological platform that is independent of the financial application (credit/debit) to be used, and of the non-financial applications that add value to the card. MULTI-PROVIDER The Advantis Crypto Contactless JavaCard operating system is compatible with numerous chip and card providers, which means card issuers are free to choose from a wider range of suppliers. ADDITIONAL AVANTAGES This new product incorporates the JavaCard technology that defines a secure, portable and multi-application platform, and includes many advantages of the Java language, like easy application development, security, hardware independence and compatibility with the current standards (readers transport, etc.)
3 Advantis Crypto Contactless JavaCard Applications Non-financial applications Storage, viewing and retrieval of data Medical, labour and administrative histories Consulting notes and files Biometric identification Fingerprint Points inventary and follow-up Physical access control Loyalty programmes Logical access control Restricted access to Windows Networks (LAN, VPN, etc.) Single sign-on Transport card applications Digital signature Secure eforms Financial applications PKI applications EMV débit/credit VIS to Visa M-Chip to MasterCard With and without contacts 3DES electronic purse
