3 Welcome to the Family Resource Guide of the NYC Region NYS Office of Mental Health. We are committed to providing the best care possible for the children and families that we serve within the five boroughs of NYC. We offer many services and supports within the community to strengthen our children and families. If you are having problems identifying services or need help advocating for your child please feel free to contact one of our city wide parent advisors Bernadine Meeks or Christina Richburg at or visit our website at omh.ny.gov. for a list of our clinics.

11 Residential Treatment Facilities When a child is identified has having a significant mental health challenge with multiple hospitalizations and the child can not be maintained in a community or home based setting, residential treatment may be more appropriate. Referrals should be sent to the regional field office for review by the (PACC) Pre- Admission Certification Committee. The PACC determines whether RTF level of care is appropriate for the child. The coordinator notifies the referral source about the PACC decision and, if accepted, the child and care giver should tour the residential program PACC coordinator: Cathy Moran NYS OMH 330 Fifth Ave. NYNY The RTF level of care is considered a short term residential intervention, not a placement.
