In this module students will gain a basic understanding of what is expected of them in ICT lessons. 1) Understand what is expected of them in ICT and the progress they are expected to make. 2) Find out the rules, rights and responsibilities related to e-safety and file downloading and uploading to the student common area. Exemplar folder structure including files saved. For students to help identify file types. Worksheet with common icons for student to identify and explain which program they relate to. : Example of disorganized folder structure. Asking how the student would organize. Understand the importance of correct naming and storage of files. By the end of the module most pupils will: Be able to create folder structures. Be able to identify some of the common file types used in school. Network resources drive (X). Exemplar folder structure including files saved. For students to help identify file types. By the end of the module some pupils will have progressed further and will: Create folder/directory structures to meet their needs not only in ICT but for use across the curriculum.
