3 2 DESCRIPTION Design of MCT-2400 is an optimum combination of magnetic, electric and insulation space. Magnet Core is cut tape C-type, wound of oriented iron. Operating at peak magnetic density up to 1,95T, it can provide nominal power of 3 W at nominal temperature increase of 20 C. Winding is placed in 4 chambers and occupies the majority of volume. This is a typical copper oriented transformer, which can sustain continuous short circuit on both secondary outputs. Nominal over temperature is 20 Kelvin s degrees above ambient. Insulation separating input and output side of the transformer ensures more than 10 mm crimping distance, which after the process of evaporating and sealing results in the safety insulation test voltage exceeding 17 kv r.m.s. at 50Hz, 1 minute. Consequently the parasitic capacitance primary to secondary C (p/s) is reduced to absolute minimum. C (p/s) is less than 14 pf. The result is excellent noise immunity against high frequency disturbances, which could try to enter from a network via MCT to the electronics on secondary side. The presented configuration has excellent noise immunity enabled by the above mentioned extremely low coupling capacitance of MCT-2400.

5 4 DRILL AND MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS Mounting through holes in p. c. board: minimum hole size d = 1,2 mm for 5mm metric grid; or d = 60 mils (~1,5mm) for 200 mils (=5,08) grid. Surface mounting: minimum pad size: 250 x 100 mils, if soft glue tape is applied. for surface mounting with no glue or clip (mechanical fixing) the recommended pad is: 400 x 150 mils with at least one metalized hole. Recommended reinforcement by at least 1, 2 or preferred 3 metalized holes inside SMD pad:
