1 New Jersey Videoconferencing Resource Guide
2 Welcome to the New Jersey Videoconferencing Resource Guide for K- 20 educators (VK20). Bring the exciting world of museums, zoos, authors, experts and students from around the state into your classroom. This guide is a collaborative effort of Rutgers University Center for Mathematics, Science and Computer Education, NJEdge.net P20 Initiative, and the Garden State Distance Learning Consortium. It is supported by Verizon. The VK20 guide is a gateway to New Jersey resources as well as national programming that can be accessed via videoconferencing. This database will allow you to search by grade level, content area, or content provider to find programs that enhance and excite your classrooms. Watch for upcoming details on the searchable database. Through video conferencing, teachers and students gain access to resources beyond the four walls of their classrooms. With over 200 programs the VK20 project provides a comprehensive New Jersey resource guide and website to assist educators in locating content-rich programming for their students. Peer to peer opportunities which enable exciting and informative classroom sharing projects are also found in the guide. Educators can also locate professional development programs they can participate in from their school or other local videoconferencing site. We would like to thank all the content providers and educators throughout New Jersey and in neighboring states for all their contributions. The VK20 guide will be updated periodically. Educators who are interested in having their name in the Peer to Peer directory should go to Content providers who would like to be listed in this guide should contact Judy Bornstein (jsborn@rci.rutgers.edu, ). Educators who would like to contribute names of local content providers inadvertently left out if this guide should contact Judy Bornstein (jsborn@rci.rutgers.edu, ).
