3 Sposorship Group O Oct 18, 2001 The Sposorship Group uaimously selected Fiacial Aalysis as the iitial implemetatio phase of the data warehouse project. Nomiated members for the Busiess Itelligece (BI) Tool Selectio Committee ad tasked the committee to choose the eterprisewide BI tool for the Resselaer data warehouse eviromet.

4 Status of the Data Warehouse November 2001 Iitiative Resselaer Data Warehouse web site is developed. BI selectio Committee is formed. Iformatica Corporatio is selected as the vedor that will provide the Extractio, Trasformatio, ad Loadig (ETL) compoet of the Resselaer data warehouse architecture. December 2001 Brio Software is selected by the Busiess Itelligece (BI) Tool Selectio Committee as the vedor that will provide the geeric ed-user BI tool for the Resselaer data warehouse eviromet. Thirtee campus represetatives. RFP set to seve vedors, six respoded ad were ivited to demostrate their products. The Committee selected fial three to come back; Cogos, Brio, Hyperio were asked to istall their products, trai the Committee; Test data prepared to facilitate better product evaluatio. Committee tests all three products ad selects Brio. The selectio process is documeted ad published

5 Status of the Data Warehouse Iitiative Jauary 2002 Steerig Committee is formed ad meets bi-weekly The data warehouse Steerig Committee omiates members for the Fiacial Aalysis Implemetatio Group, the Fiacial Aalysis Reviewer Group, ad the Data Policy Committee. The Data Warehouse Group meets with Istitute busiess represetatives to defie iformatio requiremets of the upcomig Fiacial Aalysis data mart. DecisioWorks Cosultig, Ic. returs to Resselaer to aalyze ad review the Fiacial Aalysis data models with the Data Warehouse Group. Iformatica visits Resselaer to trai the Data Warehouse Group Steerig committee approves the scope ad the deliverables of the Fiacial Aalysis data mart. Steerig committee recommeds Positio Cotrol ad the Research area as a subsequet Data Marts.
