3 INTRODUCTION Before deciding to buy any products, Customers always have many questions in mind. However, you are not always available there to answer these questions whereas Customers are not patient enough to comb through your site for answers. Do not lose them just because of some questions unanswered. A separate page listing all the Frequently Asked Questions is all you need. 4 2. HOW TO USE 2.1. How FAQs Displayed on Website With CMS page & blocks, the extension creates a dedicated FAQ/ Knowledge Base page on your site. Your website visitors can search for any topics related to their concern here. This page has 4 main parts: FAQ categories Search box Question & Answer listing Popular tags You also can display most popular FAQs on the sidebar of catalog listing pages. How to Search Answers Your website visitors can search the questions or answers relating to what they concern by various ways: Look up in the Most Frequently Asked Questions pinned on top of FAQ page or side-bard of listing page Navigate based on related categories Type keywords into the search bar Use the popular tags Look up in the Most Frequently Asked Questions Section Visitors can find the link to FAQs on any pages. 6 The FAQ page shows most frequently asked questions on the top of FAQ Topics. All questions of Most FAQs are showed on the right. Click on any question to see its answer expanded/ collapsed right below without being redirected to another page. FAQ 1.0 for Magento 2 - User Guide 6

7 How to Search Q&A Based on Categories Suppose that a customer knows exactly what kind of information he wants to explore more, such as info relevant to product features. 8 Once clicked on the categery, the visitor can see all questions in the this category. Click on any questions to view their answers right on this page. FAQ 1.0 for Magento 2 - User Guide 8

9 How to Use Search Bar Searching method according to the Most FAQs and categories seems extremely hard when there are too many questions and topics in the system. FAQ extension provides a search tool based on keywords. It can be easily found on top of every FAQ pages. For example, a customer is wondering about Affiliate extension and he can use the keyword Affiliate for his search. HOW TO CONFIGURE In this part, we will guide you how to configure the module and manage questions and topics in Admin Panel Set up Default Configurations In the menu in back-end, go to FAQ Settings. Here, you can set up how FAQs are displayed in front-end. FAQ 1.0 for Magento 2 - User Guide 11

12 Enable FAQ: Select Yes to enable the module on your site Number of questions per page: Specify how many frequently asked questions you want to show on each FAQ listing page. In this case, the value is set to be 8, so the result in the frontend will be like this: FAQ 1.0 for Magento 2 - User Guide 12

13 Display on sidebar: You can configure to show FAQ block on right sidebar, left sidebar or not. If you choose to display on right sidebar or left sidebar, you can configure the number of frequently asked questions shown. 14 Number of tags shown in sidebar: The number of tags you want to display on the sidebar of FAQ page. At the moment, the value is set to be 3, so the result in the frontend will be: Meta Keyword & Meta Description: Enter keywords & description to make your FAQ landing page (domain/faq/index/index) SEO-friendlier How to Add FAQ Categories Before adding individual FAQs in the system, you should create their categories first. 15 Now you will see a list of FAQ categories existing in your system (In case the module has just been installed, no category found here). This page allows you to take mass actions related to FAQ categories, such as search, export list, change status or delete. FAQ 1.0 for Magento 2 - User Guide 15

16 To create a new category, click on the Add category button on the top-right of the page. On the next page, you will see a form to fill in category name & its sort order. The category with the smaller order number will be displayed first. FAQ 1.0 for Magento 2 - User Guide 16

17 After filling all necessary information in, you will have two options including Save/ Save and Continue, both of which help you to save the category How To Add Questions & Answers After creating categories, you can begin to add questions & answers for each category. 19 This page allows you to take mass actions related to FAQs, such as search, export list, change status or delete. To add a new topic, click on the button Add FAQ.. The FAQ Detail page has 2 tabs: FAQ Information & Meta Information. FAQ 1.0 for Magento 2 - User Guide 19

20 Title: type in a question or topic title Description: Insert answer content here Tags: Add tags for the Q&A, separated by commas. It will help customers quickly search by tags in front-end Category: Set the category that this Q&A related to URL Key: Set the direct link to this Q&A. If you leave it blank, the extension automatically create URL Key based on the question content in Title. Most Frequently Asked Question: Select Yes if you want this question to be displayed in the Most Frequently Asked Questions section. Status: Choose Enabled to show your FAQ In the Meta Information tab, simply specify title, keywords & description for the landing page of this Q&A.
