3 What started as basic Word Processing, Spreadsheet and Presentation tools has evolved into a rich set of tools available across experiences. The rich client allows you to take advantage of the processing power of your desktop. Mobile users can consume Office on the go, and users at locations without Office installed can create and edit using Internet Explorer, FireFox, and Safari. The Web applications are extensions to the rich client. There are times you need the power of your desktop for video editing or robust data analysis. At other times you need lighter capabilities. Office 2010 offers choice for you to be creative everywhere. 3

4 Example of Co authoring in Word. Since authors typically need the power of the desktop, you can coauthor using the Word client. Store your document in SkyDrive or SharePoint, and see who is working in your document. 4
