3 2 Dear Families, We are so excited for another great summer at Teamworks Acton. This will be our 19th year of Summer Camp and we can t wait to create some more lasting memories and friendships. We would like to take a moment to welcome our new families for their first summer at Teamworks and welcome back our returning families. This summer is sure to be a memorable one and our campers and staff are eagerly awaiting the first day of camp in June. At Teamworks we strive to provide a camp that can meet the needs of all families who walk through our doors. From Traditional Camp to Parkour Camp, we provide flexible programs that can catch the interests of any child. In a safe and fun atmosphere, our well-trained staff will help each child develop their skills and create friendships that will last a lifetime. Each week we have special Theme Days that bring the whole camp together for entertaining and unique activities. From solving puzzles to showcasing a group talent, to special mystery guests, our theme days have become something every camper looks forward to and many even plan their schedules around these days. We want every family to be confident when sending their child to our camp so we encourage each family to come visit us and check out our facility. Our staff is available to answer any questions you may have and will personally meet with you to show you around. This brochure is designed to give you an overview of our different camp programs and provide general information. 4 THE FACILITY Teamworks Acton is perfect for rain or shine! We have a multi-functional facility which offers year round recreational activities both inside and out. Campers stay busy using multiple indoor and outdoor venues. Inside we have 3 turf fields and a sport court, in addition to an air conditioned restaurant and party room. Outdoors we have a large turf field, volleyball court, heated pool, climbing tower/challenge course, parkour course, and various teambuilding venues. Teamworks is inspected and licensed by the local board of health and meets all regulatory standards established by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. THE STAFF Teamworks Acton staff consists of experienced, talented, and dedicated people who truly enjoy working with children. We have a genuine interest in providing a fun and safe place for kids to be themselves. Our staff is certified in basic first aid and CPR, as well as trained for specialty programs like our challenge course. All of Teamworks Acton s staff receives a thorough background check, including three written references, CORI s, and SORI s. Check out the Meet the Staff page on our website!!

To avoid interruption in your camper s day, please try to drop off and pick up your child at the appropriate time. *Full day camp hours. Please see specific camps for half day options. EASY REGISTRATION PROCESS 1 OR 2 OR 3 REGISTER ONLINE AT REGISTER BY PHONE REGISTER AT TEAMWORKS: with a Teamworks Staff Member at Great Rd, Acton, MA and check out our facility. Note: A $50 non-refundable deposit is required upon registration for each full week of camp and a full payment is required for single day registrations. Full payments are due 2 weeks prior to the start of each camp week. Teamworks encourages participants to register for camp as soon as possible. All camps have maximum enrollments.
6 EXTENDED DAY OPTIONS Our regular full day camp ends at 4pm. Parents who require care after 4pm have two extended day options: 4:00Pm 5:00Pm $80/week or $20/day 4:00Pm 6:00Pm $120/week or $30/day Late parent/guardians should notify Teamworks via phone. Any unexpected delays create anxiety for both your child and our staff. Any child picked up after scheduled camp hours (4pm & 5pm) will be charged $20 and (6pm) will be charged a dollar per minute. Extended Day has maximum enrollments, so please plan accordingly. WHAT DO WE NEED FROM FAMILIES BEFORE THEY HAVE FUN AT TEAMWORKS? 1. Paperwork! All Teamworks paperwork must be filled out, completed, and submitted to the office at least 2 weeks prior to your child attending camp. This includes the parent packet and physical/immunization records (Parent Packet/Forms available online). Per Board of health regulations , Teamworks is not allowed to have any child in camp without this paperwork submitted. 2. Teamworks Membership All campers must have a valid Teamworks Membership for the duration of camp attendance ($20). Purchase online and SAVE $5! 3. What To Bring Equipment: Campers are required to bring their own equipment, with their name clearly marked on it, for some of our specialty camps. Please check with a staff member when registering or visit our website for a list of required equipment. Sunscreen: Campers will be in the sun! Please remember to apply sunscreen prior to camp each day and provide a bottle of sunscreen with your child s name clearly labelled so our counselors can help your child re-apply their sunscreen throughout the day. Snack/Lunch: Campers will have two snack times (morning & afternoon), as well as lunch. Campers may bring their snack & lunch in a bag with their name CLEARLY marked on it, or purchase Teamworks snack & lunch for an additional price (available online & during sign-in).
7 WAYS FOR FAMILIES TO SAVE MONEY 6 Early Bird Discount Register on or before April 30th for a FULL WEEK of full day camp (Full Week= Monday through Friday of the same week) in order to qualify for our Early Bird Discount. This will entitle you to receive a discount of $20 per child, per week. Online prices will reflect the Early Bird Discount until May 1st. Family Loyalty Discount The more weeks you sign up for, the more you save with our Loyalty Discount Program. This means you ll pay the regular price for your first camp week, but by the time you attend your second, you ll start benefitting from the discount. Even better, camp weeks are totaled up by household. So if you have multiple children attending camp, you will receive discounts even faster! If you sign up for... Each new family that you refer, who registers for a full week of summer camp, will earn you $50 OFF** one week of your camper s 2016 camp fee. In addition, the person you refer will receive $50 OFF** the first week of his or her camp!! So bring a friend, a relative, or anyone else you know, and enjoy a great summer at Teamworks. * Does not include immediate family members. Please check our Family Loyalty Discount for special family rates. ** $50 OFF applies to full-day, full week registrations only. 9 (AGES 7-14) TRADITIONAL CAMP Traditional Camp is perfect for kids who are looking to do a little bit of everything in a non-competitive environment. Traditional campers will enjoy a wide variety of playground games, teambuilding activities, and arts & crafts projects. This camp is highly involved with our popular theme days and campers are encouraged to dress up to enhance their theme day spirit. Your child s day will be filled with fun activities that will help them make new friends. (Due to a varying camp schedule, single day participants may not experience all of the above activities) (JUN 6 SEP 2) AGE GROUPS: FULL DAY OPTION Full Week = $290 Single Day = $80 per day (AGES 7-14) SPORTS CAMP Our Sports Camp is designed for campers who have lots of energy and love to play many different sports. Campers will spend their day playing fan-favorite sports such as soccer, flag football, and dodgeball. They may also be introduced to some less common sports such as cricket and speedball. The program is structured so that each child will learn and play some different sports each day. Sports campers will also participate in many of our traditional camp activities including theme day games, free swim, teambuilding activities, and more (JUN 6 SEP 2) AGE GROUPS: FULL DAY OPTION Full Week = $290 Single Day = $80 per day (Due to a varying camp schedule, single day participants may not experience all of the above activities) (AGES 4-6) CUBS CAMP Teamworks Cubs Camp is designed with our youngest campers in mind! This program offers age appropriate games, activities, and modified sports in a supportive and encouraging environment. Cubs Camp is our version of Traditional and Sports Camp geared towards younger campers. This camp has a 5:1 Camper-to-Staff ratio to ensure maximum attention and instruction to these young campers. Half Day Cubs Traditional Camp (ages 4-6) and Half Day Cubs Sports Camp (Ages 5-6) provide younger campers an opportunity to get a taste of summer camp in a shorter program structure. Pick-up is at Noon. All Cubs Campers will have a daily swimming time supervised by our experienced staff members and lifeguards. Your child will need an extra set of clothes, water bottle, sunscreen, bathing suit, towel, and lunch with snacks unless you plan to order from Teamworks. (1/2 day one snack only, no lunch) Campers using the pool must be able to independently change in and out of clothes to have pool time. ALL Campers must also be potty trained (JUN 6 SEP 2) FULL WEEK OPTION Full day = $305 per week Half day= $205 per week SINGLE DAY OPTION Full day = $85 per day Half day= $55 per day ASK ABOUT ADDING SWIM LESSONS TO ANY TRADITIONAL OR SPORTS CAMP. 3 CLASSES PER WEEK: ONLY $50 PER WEEK.
10 LEARN TO PLAY CAMPS Learn to Play camps are designed for beginners to actively learn the fundamentals of the game. Our experienced staff will teach the basic rules, skills, and knowledge to help them not only take a further interest in the sport, but help them succeed with confidence and prepare for the next level of play. ALL LEARN TO PLAY CAMPS ARE A HALF-DAY CAMP (9AM-NOON) WITH A FULL DAY OPTION. FULL DAY OPTIONS WILL INCLUDE EITHER CUBS SPORTS OR REGULAR SPORTS CAMP FOR THE AFTERNOON. (AGES 5-7) LEARN TO PLAY BASEBALL Learn to Play Baseball is a camp for beginners and is designed to help each child grow as a baseball player by teaching them the fundamentals of America s favorite pastime. Each day campers will focus on skills like catching, throwing, fielding, batting, and base running. Get your camper ready to catch a fly ball, steal second base, and hit a homerun this summer at Teamworks. A baseball glove is required to participate. Weeks 5, 7 & 10 (Baseball w/ sports) (Baseball only) (AGES 5-7) LEARN TO PLAY BASKETBALL Learn To Play Basketball is designed for those young players looking to start their basketball career. Your child will learn the basics of the sport, including shooting, passing, dribbling, lay-ups, and blocking. Each day campers will gain confidence with our experienced coaches by participating in small-sided games, practicing defensive and offensive strategies, and scoring points. Weeks 3, 6, 9 & 11 (Basketball w/ sports) (Basketball only)
11 10 (AGES 5-7) LEARN TO SKATEBOARD The goal of this camp is to introduce beginning skaters to the fundamentals of skateboarding in a safe and fun environment. Participants will learn the basics of how to push, turn, and stop. Skaters will also be introduced to carving techniques, rolling into transitions, and pumping. Your child will have fun and gain confidence in both themselves and their skills. Full Equipment is needed to participate. No prior experience required. (AGES 5-7) LEARN TO PLAY SOCCER Our Learn to Play Soccer Camp is perfect for a child who is interested in learning the basics of soccer. Our experienced soccer coaches will use drills and fun games to teach your child all about the sport and give them an introduction to playing. At the end of each day the coaches will guide the kids through scrimmages to let them use the new skills they ve learned in a game. This camp is perfect for the beginner soccer player who is looking to have fun while preparing them for the next level of play! (AGES 5-7) LEARN TO PLAY FLAG FOOTBALL Our Learn to Play Flag Football Camp is geared towards the camper who has never played, but is eager to learn. Coaches will lead campers through fun games, drills, and conditioning activities that will give them a better understanding of how to play Football. Each day the coaches will teach the basics of a new position and at the end of the week, they ll play in a Superbowl! (AGES 5-7) LEARN TO PLAY LACROSSE Learn To Play Lacrosse Camp introduces beginners to the skills they will need to play lacrosse. This camp will teach campers cradling, shooting, catching & throwing. They will also learn the basics of individual offense, defense, and game play situations. Your future Lacrosse player will have fun and gain new knowledge while building confidence to elevate their game to the next level of play. Only a stick is needed to participate. This camp is designed for boys only. Weeks 4, 8, 10 & 12 (Skateboard w/ sports) (Skateboard only) Weeks 2, 5, 7, 9 & 11 (Soccer w/ sports) (Soccer only) Weeks 4, 8 & 10 (Football w/ sports) (Football only) Weeks 6 & 11 (Lacrosse w/ sports) (Lacrosse only)
12 SPECIALTY (AGES 7-12) FC STARS SOCCER CAMP The FC Stars Soccer Camp is designed to help make your son or daughter a better soccer player. Whether your child is an intermediate or advanced player, this program will help improve his or her skills through individual technical development and small-sided games. Coached by FC Stars of Mass. Weeks 4, 6, 8, 10 & 12 $325 per week Full Day (FC Stars w/ sports) (FC Stars only - 9am - noon) (AGES 7-12) FLAG FOOTBALL CAMP It s always football season at Teamworks. Each day campers will learn and improve upon the fundamentals of the game like passing, catching, positioning, special teams, defense, and more. Football Camp will work on skills and drills in the morning and incorporate these skills through games and scrimmages in the afternoons. Football Camp ends the week with a huge Super Bowl game on Friday afternoon. Parents are welcome and encouraged to come watch. (AGES 7-12) CHEERLEADING CAMP Kick that winning spirit into high gear with our Cheerleading Camp! Campers will receive hands-on training and experience with many different cheers, stunts, tumbling techniques and dance moves. Cheerleaders will also learn and perform a half-time routine during our Flag Football Camp s Super Bowl (parents are welcome to come watch). Cheerleaders of all levels are welcome, but spirit and smiles are a must! (AGES 7-12) BASKETBALL CAMP Teamworks Basketball Camp will help your child become a better basketball player while they learn about the game and have fun. Basketball camp will concentrate on developing skills such as passing, dribbling, and shooting, in addition to offensive team play and defense. This camp is full of small scrimmages and contests to show off your B-Ball skills. 13 CAMPS (AGES 8-14) PARKOUR CAMP Parkour Camp is back by popular demand. As an up and coming sport, Parkour has generated a lot of interest with kids of all ages. Our experienced coaches will help your child improve their agility and strength, help build their confidence, and teach them to move in a quicker, more efficient way. In a safe, structured environment your child will tumble, roll, twist, jump, vault, climb, and more. Parkour Camp will spend their days on our official parkour course, high ropes course, & gaga pit. 12 Weeks 4, 7, 10 & 11 $390 per week Full Day (Parkour w/ sports) $290 per week Half Day (Parkour only - 9am - noon) (AGES 8-14) SKATEBOARDING CAMP Skateboarding Camp is designed to help strengthen and develop all skills of the sport throughout the week. Experienced staff will offer instruction and coaching while giving campers a unique opportunity to safely refresh fundamental skills, skater safety, tricks and maneuvers, as well as skater etiquette. Remember parents, this is an extreme sport and campers will be trying some thrilling tricks! Full equipment is needed to participate. Skateboarders will take a field trip to TJ O Grady Skate Park in Acton (weather permitting). Weeks 4, 8, 10 & 12 $305 per week Full Day Camp (AGES 8-14) OUTDOOR ADVENTURES CAMP Outdoors Adventures is designed for children who want to play outside, go exploring, and challenge themselves while having fun. Each day campers will test themselves in various activities including ropes course challenges, teambuilding activities, local hiking, fishing, and more. Our experienced and well trained staff will help your child confront their fears and develop the confidence to overcome them. Weeks 2, 3,5, 6, 8, 9 & 12 $305 per week Full Day Camp (AGES 8-14) BOYS LACROSSE CAMP Boys Lacrosse Camp is designed for campers looking to sharpen and develop their skills in all aspects of the game. Our experienced staff will work on passing, catching, cradling, shooting, face-offs, and more. Players will use the skills worked on in the mornings and incorporate them into small-sided games and scrimmages in the afternoon. This camp is geared towards boys lacrosse only. 14 (AGES 4-8) PRINCESS CAMP We re calling all Princesses to come rule the Teamworks Kingdom! Gather your gowns and tiaras and get ready to have a royal time. Princesses will play fairy tale games, host tea parties, imagine Once Upon a Time, and find a kingdom to rule. (AGES 4-8) SUPER HERO CAMP Super Hero Camp is back by popular demand. We need all super heroes to grab their capes and masks and get ready to save the day. Campers will play a variety of superhero games, create super powers with arts n crafts projects, and capture evil villains all morning. Weeks 4, 8 & 11 (Princess w/ traditional) (Princess only) Weeks 5, 9, & 12 (Super Hero w/ Traditional) (Super Hero only) (AGES 7-14) THEATER CAMP Our Theater Camp will be returning for another summer of singing, dancing, and creativity. Throughout the week the kids will participate in various workshops to help them develop their acting and improvisation skills. In addition, children will learn about the preparation that goes into creating a show through activities such as creating scenery and props. Their hard work throughout the week will be showcased on Friday with a performance involving everyone registered for the camp. So, let s lace up our acting shoes, get into character, and hop in the spotlight! Weeks 6, 8 & 11 $305 per week Full Day Camp (AGES 7-12) CARDS CAMP Teamworks Cards Camp is a brand new camp based on the interests of many veteran campers. Cards Camp Campers should bring Pokémon, Magic, Yu Gi Oh or other types of cards to play games together. Campers will learn the basic rules of a variety of card games and be introduced to a few new ones too. They will practice their newly learned skills throughout the week and leave camp with a better understanding of how to play these games with their friends at home! Weeks 4, 7 & 10 (Cards w/ Traditional) (Cards only) (AGES 7-12) DODGEBALL CAMP Each day Dodgeball enthusiasts will be ducking, dodging, throwing, and having fun in a safe, controlled environment. In addition to playing classic dodgeball games on our turf fields, your child will have the opportunity to enjoy the extremely popular Gaga Pit. Join us in the adventure of learning Dodgeball games from the past and help us invent the Dodgeball games of the future. Weeks 5, 8 & 11 (Dodgeball w/ sports) (Dodgeball only)
15 (AGES 14-16) COUNSELOR IN TRAINING PROGRAM Teamworks will once again be offering our training program for inspired young adults interested in being future camp counselors, educators, or leaders. This program will equip CIT s with leadership skills and knowledge they will use for the rest of their lives. In a safe and friendly environment Teamworks will provide your child with the opportunity to develop problem solving skills, understand accountability and responsibility, work together as a team, and most importantly, give them real life work experience. CIT s will be involved in educational workshops, seminars, and activities in the morning and will be assigned camps to join in the afternoon to help our senior staff.
