Sew (1) 2 x 20 strip of each of the following fabrics together lengthwise off-setting each 1 ½ as shown: 1, 3, 6, 10, 15, 17, 20, 23, 25 to make (1) Row A-Right Strip Set (Fig. 1). 2. Repeat Step 1 using the 2 x 20 fabric strips as listed for Rows B-I to make (1) of each Right Strip Set. Row A - Right Strip Set Repeat Step 1 to make following strip sets for the Right Diamond Row B Row C Row D Row E Fig. 1 Row B Row C Row D Row E Fig Row F Row G Row H Row I Repeat Step 1 with 1 ½ off-set and follow Figure 2 for fabric identification and location to make the (9) Left Strip Sets (Rows A-I) as shown. Follow Figure 7 and mark the remaining (3) corners of the Diamond A as shown. 1/4 Center Diamond 1/4 1/4 Repeat for all diamonds Fig. 6 Fig Repeat Steps 7-8 for all the remaining Diamond A s and Diamond B s. The points are used to help align the diamonds when sewing the star together and later when the corner squares and side triangles are added. Diamond B 10. 7 Autumn Song Page Following the manufacturer s instructions, trace the listed number of each template onto the paper side of the fusible web. Roughly cut out each template about ⅛ outside the drawn lines. 12. Press each template onto the wrong side of the fabrics as listed on the templates. Cut out each template on the drawn lines. 13. Refer to Figure 9 to arrange and press the (1) Corner Flower A, (1) Corner Flower A Base, (1) Corner Flower B, (1) Corner Flower B Center and (1) Corner Stem onto (1) 19 ½ Fabric 38 square. 38 Fig. 9 Corner Block make Finish the raw edges of each shape with a decorative stitch such as a buttonhole or satin stitch to make (1) Corner Block (Fig. 9) 15. Repeat Steps to make (4) Corner Blocks total. 16. Repeat Steps using the (4) Center Flower C s, (4) Center Flower D s, (4) Center Flower C Bases, (4) Center Flower D Bases, (4) Center Stems and (4) Fabric 38 triangles to make the (4) Setting Triangles (Fig. 10). 38 Setting Triangle make 4 Fig Follow Figure 11 and using y-seams sew the (4) Corner Blocks, (4) Side Triangles and Diamond Block together to make the Center Block. 8 Autumn Song Page 26 Quilt Top Assembly (Refer to the Quilt Layout while assembling.) 18. Sew (1) 1 ½ x 65 ½ Fabric 36 strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 1 ½ x 67 ½ Fabric 36 strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block. 20. Sew (1) 4 ½ x 72 ½ Fabric 40 strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 4 ½ x 80 ½ Fabric 40 strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top. 21. Layer and quilt as desired. 19. Sew (1) 3 x 67 ½ Fabric 39 strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 3 x 72 ½ Fabric 39 strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block. 22. Sew the (8) 2 ½ x WOF Fabric 8 strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press. 23.
