5 Applications UV disinfection is an effective, safe, and economical treatment method currently used world-wide in various industries, from municipal water treatment plants to private businesses, and industrial plants. 6 KCF - Closed-pipe UV systems for drinking water Advantages KCF series systems are usually used for small and medium scale installation. For higher flowrates, multiple units can be arranged in parallel. Hydraulic modeling design, based on our own research and latest world-wide progress. Precise calculation of flow patterns, UV intensity and dosage helps to ensure that sufficient disinfection rate is achieved and water quality meets drinking water standard requirements. 10 KCJ - Submerged UV lamps for liquid storage tanks Features Submersible UV lamps prevent secondary pollution and bacterial growth in liquid storage tanks and can also be used for empty tank disinfection during the maintenance. Standard four-pin (4-pin) UV lamps, quartz glass sleeve, waterproof wiring, and electronic ballast ensure reliable operation and disinfection efficiency. Complete system can include the storage tank, water supply pumps or pretreatment system (optional). Electronic ballast meets regulation requirements for electromagnetic interference and radio frequency interference (EMI/RFI). Using high-quality electronic ballast can improve UV lamp service life by at least 12%. Intelligent, user-friendly control system Continuous online system control and monitoring. Information is available on-site, through the smart touch screen display or wirelessly, through the GSM/G module. For each individual module data include: current status, UV light intensity, and running time in hours. Otherimportant parameters, such as flowrate, water quality, Automatic cleaning system Organic fouling of glass protection sleeves can cause lower UV intensity and therefore, lower UV dosage, especially in waste water treatment field. Automatic wiping system regularly removes biological deposition from the surface of the glass sleeve, improving the disinfection efficiency and keeping the transmittance close to the initial level of 92%. Cleaning system consist of a stainless steel rack, control mechanism and flexible teflon rings. Using flexible rings helps to avoid any damage to glass sleeves and to adjust to small deviations in tube diameter. 15 Medium pressure UV systems Technology: Medium pressure UV systems are mostly used in wastewater treatment for d i s i n f e c t i o n a n d o r g a n i c m a t t e r d e c o m p o s i t i o n. W h e n u s e d w i t h hydrogen peroxide, UV light can enhance - the formation of hydroxyl radicals (OH ), a powerful oxidizing agent. Using hydroxyl oxidation instead of chlorine, results in the decomposition of organic matter into CO gas and H 0, rather than 2 2 harmful byproducts.
