1 Sage Timberline Office MyAssistant Release Highlights MyAssistant prvides each emplyee a persnal assistant t help them stay infrmed, be practive and increase their prductivity. Each emplyee can nw use MyAssistant t quickly access infrmatin r Check Fr smething in Sage Timberline Office, right frm the Windws Desktp. As a persnal assistant, MyAssistant can cmmunicate with thers (vendrs, tenants, r emplyees) fr yu and extend yur wrkflw prcesses by taking additinal actins at the end f a Sage Timberline Office task. Imprtant: If yu are using Sage Timberline Office 9.8, yu shuld install MyAssistant If yu are using Sage Timberline Office 9.7, yu shuld install MyAssistant Cntact yur business partner if yu have questins abut versin cmpatibility and installatin. Sage Timberline Office My Assistant cntains the fllwing imprvements: Interact with yur prject r prperty accunting infrmatin with an intuitive new lk and feel. The MyAssistant Live Tile allws yu t access yur ntificatins r t check fr infrmatin right frm yur Windws Desktp. Open the MyAssistant Quick Viewer frm yur Windws Desktp t access infrmatin in Sage Timberline Office. Use special fnts, clr r shading t highlight selected infrmatin in messages r yur ntificatin lg. Organize yur infrmatin int grups. Use the Filter r Find (keywrd search) ptins t quickly find the infrmatin yu need. 3 MyAssistant QuickViewer The QuickViewer prvides an easy way t access the Sage Timberline Office infrmatin yu need. Available frm yur Windws desktp with the My Ntificatins and Checking Fr ptins, yu will find the QuickViewer t be a pwerful, yet easy t use infrmatin access tl. Sme f the highlights f the QuickViewer are: A ribbn t prvide easy access t the MyAssistant ptins

4 The ability t custmize yur list by mving clumns arund r dragging clumns int the grup-by bx t rganize the list by thse values. Srt the list by clicking n a clumn heading. Filter yur list using the clumn filters. A Find ptin allws yu t search yur ntificatins fr key wrds

5 Defined Filters with simple editr that prvides pwerful peratrs. At any pint yu can pen the list f Sage Timberline Office infrmatin in Excel r exprt it t a PDF

6 The Arrange By ptin srts yur ntificatins by a selected value (i.e., Jb, Custmer, Vendr, and Prperty) acrss Task / subject. This allws yu t see all ntificatins fr a specified jb, custmer, vendr, etc. Right click n the ttals rw and add Summaries (Sum, Average, Cunt, etc.)

7 Right click n any clumn heading t see a cmplete list custmizatin ptins. MyAssistant will autmatically remember each user s changes. The Remind Me Again ptin allws yu t be reminded f ntificatins that are still pen in a specified number f days

8 New Task Setup Wizard Creating and activating MyAssistant Tasks just gt mre pwerful, yet easier t use. MyAssistant ffers enhanced Task scheduling, and reprting capabilities with an uncmplicated setup wizard. Yu nw can cpy and mdify prebuilt Cnditins as yu are setting up new Tasks. MyAssistant Tasks can nw be scheduled t run at the cmpletin f a Sage Timberline Office prcesses. Fr example, check AP Vendr insurance status after selecting invices t pay and befre printing checks - 8 -

9 When exiting a Sage Timberline Office prgram (i.e., AP Select Invices fr Payment), MyAssistant checks t see if there are any tasks scheduled t run at the cmpletin f that prcess. If there are, MyAssistant prmpts yu t run the MyAssistant Task(s). If yu dn t respnd t the prmpt, the Task is added t the T D list n yur MyAssistant Live Tile.. MyAssistant Messages A new Task template definitin prvides many new features. Defining the message and ntificatins list n ne screen. A new ribbn makes the template ptins very visible. The ntificatin list is defined by dragging Sage Timberline Office fields in t the list. Duble click n the clumn heading t change the heading. Drag the clumn barder t resize the clumn width

10 Grup ntificatins by ne r mre values by dragging the Sage Timberline Office fields int the grup by bx. Frmat the fnt, clr r backgrund f each clumn. Add cmma s, dllar r percent signs. Include summaries such as dwn ttals, average, cunt, etc. New mail merge capabilities allw yu t use Sage Timberline Office data in the bdy f the messages t create frm letters and ther dcuments. Generate cntent frm existing Wrd dcuments. Use File > Open t pen a Micrsft Wrd dcument. This feature will take the cntents f the selected Wrd dcument and ppulate the MyAssistant message, which then allws fr additinal editing f the cntent. Add cmpany lgs and ther images. Frmat text in the bdy similar t what yu wuld d in Wrd. Check yu spelling with the built-in spell checker. Use directries and mail merge t send persnalized letters and ther dcuments. Merge the fields frm Sage Timberline Office in the message bdy. Frmat Sage Timberline Office data in the message bdy

New Installatin and Cnfiguratin The MyAssistant installatin has been rewritten frm the grund up t make fr a quick and smth install. Sme f the new installatin items are: Prerequisites are installed with MyAssistant, resulting in a smther installatin prcess and smarter errr handling. Upgrade t Micrsft SQL Server Express 2008 R2. This prvides 10GB f space fr the Ntificatin database and imprved perfrmance. Fr mre infrmatin, see: MyAssistant will autmatically create the needed SQL server user name and passwrd, eliminating a step in the cnfiguratin prcess and the need t remember these security credentials. Supprt the autmatic installatin f the MyAssistant database n the full versin f MS SQL Server A new MyAssistant Cnfiguratin Manager applicatin is available n the server, making it simple t change MyAssistant settings, imprting Sage Timberline Office custm fields, and changing passwrds. The Cnfiguratin Manager is always accessible n the MyAssistant server fr updating passwrds, imprting Custm Fields, and updating Mail Server settings. The first time thrugh r when changing passwrds, passwrd fields have the ability t Shw Characters t cut dwn n errrs while typing. Yu can mve t necessary step withut having t step thrugh the entire wizard. Perfrmance Perfrmance f MyAssistant Tasks run n demand has been imprved r enhanced, allwing results t be returned mre quickly
