Learner listens and points to or holds up correct picture card. Play game of concentration with words and pictures. Put two sets of flash cards face down. Learner picks up one card and says the colour, then picks another to find a match. Tutor and learner take turns. Worksheet 1: Fruit names Model language: one orange, two oranges, etc. (Stress the s of the plural words.) Learner repeats, then traces and copies.
