1 Textbooks (required and recommended) Summer 2016 The following list is provided as a service to students wanting to plan ahead for attendance at SIL- UND. Please keep the following things in mind as you use this list: You can buy textbooks from SIL on registration day (the day before classes start; see the calendar on the SIL website) or during the first week. It is not necessary for students to purchase textbooks ahead of time. Some materials (e.g. course notes, textbooks under development) are available only from SIL. SIL can usually offer new books for sale at the same or lower prices than what students can find on their own. SIL does not sell used textbooks nor offer a buy-back service. SIL accepts cash, checks, and money orders. In order to keep costs as low as possible, we do not accept credit or debit cards. This list is as accurate as we can make it at the time it is prepared. However, textbook requirements sometimes change, and SIL assumes no responsibility for purchasing decisions that students may make on the basis of this information prior to registration day. If you buy books from another vendor and end up not needing them, you will need to return them to the place you bought them. We are sorry that we cannot buy them from you, even if they are in new condition. (You might be able to sell them to another student.)
