The Trimble BladePro 3D product line has been discontinued. Allen Instruments & Supplies will continue to provide support, field replacement and service for BladePro 3D. Trimble GCS900 Grade Constrol System v6.11 Trimble GCS900 Grade Control System v6.11 adds support for the Trimble MS990 Smart GPS Antenna and is available immediately. (GCS900 v6.11 Grade Control System software for the SV170 is required in order to use the MS990 Smart GPS Antenna on GCS900 v6.xx Grade Control Systems) GCS900 v6.11 is available in the following languages: Dutch English (US & UK) French Finnish German Italian Portuguese Spanish Swedish The GCS900 v6.11 Grade Control System is the last planned software update for the GCS900 6.xx Grade Control System / SV170 control box platform. All future development for the Trimble GCS900 Grade Control System will be on the version 10.xx/CB430 platform. MS990 Trimble SiteVision Office v6.21 Released Features Include New Language Support: Simplified Chinese Japanese Updated French German Spanish Emulators updated to GCS900 v10.01 and 6.11 DWG 2007 Support The Autodesk DWG importers now support the 2007 DWG Format New version 1.58 firmware is available for MS750 and MS860 This firmware replaces v1.55 and offers the following new features: Rover GPS can now operate using 10 Hz CMR TM data from third-party static GPS Reference stations Support for recently-released antenna s: ZephyrTM Model 2 Zephyr Geodetic Model 2 GA510 Z Plus Trimble Terramodel v10.43 is available The version includes the following enhancements: Terramodel can now import AutoCAS 2007 DWG and DXF files. Importing LandXML files now names the points defining the breaklines the same as the breaklines. This enables the nodes of cross sections to inherit the names of the points. 1

The inclusion of GLONASS signals represents a huge selling opportunity to your customers. The tip of the month gives you some background on GLONASS, the advantages of using GLONASS signals in construction, and Trimble s messaging on the use of GPS+GLONASS. What is the status of GLONASS? In the last two years, the Russian GLONASS system has seen a renewed commitment to quality and accuracy. The newest GLONASS-M satellites launched in December 2005 feature the L2C signal (like new GPS satellites) and an improved satellite clock to increase accuracy. In the construction environment, Trimble is already capitalizing on those improvements through the SPS850 Extreme, SPS880, and MS990 Smart GPS Antenna. What does the inclusion of GLONASS signals mean to Trimble construction users? Through support for GPS+GLONASS satellites, Trimble is able to provide an advanced RTK solution in both positioning and grade control applications. Among the advantages are: Better operation in deep cuts, among trees, against high walls, near tall buildings Fewer or shorter satellite outages when GPS satellite visibility is reduced Improved initialization times Note: GLONASS does not provide a 100% guarantee of satellite availability. So what is the message to our customers? Trimble has come out with combined GPS+GLONASS solutions right at the time when GLONASS has become reliable. (more to come) GLONASS support will allow construction work more efficiently in tougher job site environments, where GPS visibility was often reduced. With the European Galileo constellation still at least five years from completion, Trimble components with modernized GPS+GLONASS offer the most advanced construction positioning and gradating solutions available today.
