FLOAT PARKING: In Centre of stables $10 bond for yards, refundable if left spotless FLOAT ENTRY TO FAIR GROUNDS: Via bypass road, all floats must be at grounds by 8am. Gates will be locked after 8am and no access will be allowed. Power & Speed 1.15m Description of Events OPTIMUM TIME: The rider endeavors to ride the course according to how the judge has measured the course and worked out which speed it should be ridden at. The rider closest to the time with the least amount of faults is the winner. AM7 FEI Article 245.3: A competitor with a clear round rides a jump off course before leaving the arena. The competitor has 45 seconds only to go through the starting flags after the judge sounds the bell for the jump-off. The AM7 jump-off may include two new obstacles in the course. POWER & SPEED FEI Article 274: One round competition, judged in two parts with two sets of start & finish flags. The course consists of 10 to 12 obstacles. The first 5 or 6 obstacles are of maximum height and spread, jumped not against the clock. Competitors must jump the first 5 or 6 obstacles clear to continue onto the last 5 or 6 obstacles, which are judged against the clock. A whistle or bell will sound at the end of the first 5 or 6 obstacles if penalties have been incurred, and the competitor leaves the arena. SUNDAY 13 th MARCH STARTING AT 8am

Competitors with equal faults for first place jump off, against the clock. Other riders are places according to their penalties in the first round TABLE C COMPETITIONS Article 239 Faults under Table C are penalised in seconds which are added to the time taken by the athletes to complete the round. Obstacle knocked down while jumping or one or more feet in the water = 4 seconds (3 seconds for a two-phase competitions, knock-out competitions or for any jump off under Table C) First disobedience (refusal) = 0 faults First disobedience, with a knock down and/or displacing of an obstacle (rebuild) = time correction of 6 seconds Second disobedience (refusal) = 0 faults Third disobedience = Elimination Fall of horse or rider = Elimination There is no time allowed under Table C only a time limit of 3 minutes if the length of the course is more than 600m 2 minutes if the length of the course is less than 600m Exceeding the time limit = Elimination HIGHER & HIGHER CHASE ME CHARLIE All riders in the ring at one time, line up & ONE at a time jump an upright jump (Parallel). The jump starts low and once all riders have jumped it, the jump is raised 10 15cm until it is quite high and then only raised 5cm each time. If a rider has a knock, refusal or fall, they are out. The jump continues to get higher until there is one person left. If two horses finish on the same round, the horse that knocks beats the horse who refused.

8 RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 1. All competitors must provide a helper on the weekend. No Self Help allowed. 2. All riders compete at their own risk. ALL RIDERS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE MUST HAVE AN ADULT PRESENT AT THE GROUNDS AT ALL TIMES. THIS PERSON MUST BE NAMED ON THE ENTRY FORM OR ENTRY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. 3. The judges decision is final. However, written protests for show jumping events can be submitted within thirty (30) minutes of the event in question being completed. A fee of $50.00 must accompany the protest, which is refundable if the protest is upheld. 4. The committee reserves the right to change, alter or cancel any events on the programme as circumstances dictate. 5. The committee also reserves the right to remove any uncontrolled/undisciplined horse from the competition to ensure the safety of other competitors. 6. All riders entering in ridden events at the KALGOORLIE District Pony Club s 2016 Fair Show must wear approved safety helmets which comply with the requirements.members are recommended to check with the EN1384 standard made in 2016, will not be acceptable for use in PCA 7. Riders may wear Pony Club uniform or appropriate Hacking Attire. Approved safety helmets (see note 6) and riding boots are to be worn by ALL Riders at all times whilst mounted. 8. Any competitor consuming alcohol, insulting or interfering with the judges or officials, or behaving in an unseeingly manner will be subject to removal from the grounds and forfeit all fees. 9. All riders competing who are not PCAWA riding members must provide PCAWA Insurance card. 10. CAMPING & STABLING OVERNIGHT: The Goldfields Equestrian Centre have camping & stabling facilities available for travelers. Entries will not be accepted unless all fees are paid in full and all paperwork is completed correctly, Refunds will only be given upon the production of current vet/ doctor s certificate. 13. The use of prohibited substances is forbidden. 14. Whilst all efforts will be made to accommodate persons entering more than one horse or riding in events which may clash, it may be necessary for the rider to choose which events they compete in. Events will not be held up unnecessarily for individual competitors. 15. Rider s age is on the day of the competition. 16. Entries close on FRIDAY 4 th MARCH at 5pm. A $20 charge will be added for any late entries. No exceptions. Fax or telephone entries will not be accepted. No entry will be accepted without payment. 17. All events conducted at the KALGOORLIE District Pony Club s Fair Show are run under PCAWA and EA rules. 18. No dogs allowed. 19. KDPC Code of Conduct & Social Media Policies must be followed at all times during this event.
