1 NOTICE TO PURCHASE REVERSE OSMOSIS WATER TREATMENT PLANT The County of Calumet, Wisconsin, a tax exempt municipal corporation under Wisconsin Statue 77.54(9a), will receive sealed bids up to 4:00 PM local time on Monday, January 30, 2017, in the office of the Calumet County Administrator, Room 319, Calumet County Courthouse, 206 Court Street, Chilton, WI Proposal specifications can be obtained by calling Adam Backus, Parks Director at (920) or by ing: backus.adam@co.calumet.wi.us Calumet County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals. ******************** Publishing Instructions: Please publish as a Class 2 immediately. 2 BID REQUEST Calumet County (tax exempt, pursuant to CES# ES45147) Department: Parks Date (month & year): January 3, 2017 Bid Description: Calumet County is requesting Sealed Bids for NEW Reverse Osmosis Plant at the Calumet County Park. Date Bid Must be Received by: 4:00 p.m. (Central Time). Monday, January 30, 2017 All bids must be received at the Calumet County Courthouse no later than the above date or they will not be considered for the project. All bids must be received in a sealed envelope and properly marked. Ad Information: Ad was published in the Chilton Times on January 5 th, 2017 and January 12 th, Award will be made on (include date, time, and location): on February 7, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. in room 017 at the Calumet County Courthouse, 305 Court Street, Chilton, WI Bid is to be binding for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the bid receipt. Will bid security be required? If yes, amount of security: Yes or No Will a Performance Bond be required? If yes, amount of bond: Yes or No Insurance requirements: If Alternate #2 is selected bidder must provide a Certificate of Insurance meeting County Requirements as stated in Exhibit A. Technical specifications (list the scope of work and complete description of items, including all technical aspects to be supplied): 1. Total of two single phase RO systems projected to produce a combined 11 gpm of potable 50F feed water. a. A laboratory analysis of the feed water is attached see exhibit B b. 5 ALTERNATE PRICES Alternates: Alternate #1 (Add): Static Mixers for Antiscalant, Sodium Hypochlorite and Sodium Bicarbonate. $ dollars. Alternate #2 (Add): Removal and installation: 1. Disconnect existing pretreatment and RO system for disposal by Calumet County Parks Department 2. Install supplied pretreatment and RO system; (Piping, gauges and fittings to be provided by bidder) *Electrical to be provided by owner $ dollars. Alternate #3 (Add): Onsite support and training (per day) $ dollars. Alternate #4 (Add): Optional feature to be added that will initiate backwash based on differential pressure instead of the 7-day timer. $ dollars. C. The undersigned further proposes and agrees that the work will be completed by (date) or no later than (date). D. The undersigned agrees that in the event the contract work cannot be completed by the date specified previously, and the Owner does not grant an extension of the completion date, the work shall be discontinued temporarily. It shall be understood that the Owner will permit work to resume only during that time allotted by the Owner. E. The undersigned agrees that permission to bid on future work for the Owner may not be granted until the undersigned s work in progress is complete; the Contractor shall be notified in writing by the Owner. The undersigned further agrees that the Contract Documents, including all contractor s responsibilities, shall remain enforced during the postponement of work. F. The undersigned agrees to take sole physical and financial responsibility for all efforts required to ensure the premises associated with the work are in a suitable condition, as judged by the Owner, during the postponement of work. The undersigned further agrees to hold harmless the owner for physical and financial responsibilities required to resume work after postponement. G. The undersigned submits herein a cost breakdown of the base bid, unit prices, and alternate bids as directed on the Bid Form. Any or all of the alternate bids may be selected by the Owner and added to, or subtracted from, the base bid sum as applicable.

The undersigned agrees, if this proposal is accepted, to enter into any agreement on the Owner s Standard Agreement Form for the base bid sum, adjusted for any alternate bids selected by the Owner. I.
