3 What s s SHAPE? a cross-border cooperation project that aims at the sustainable development of the Adriatic maritime region it enhances a rational and efficient use of the sea and its assets & resources through an integrated approach general objective: create a multi-level level & cross-sector sector governance to manage conflicting uses and users focus: implement the Integrated Coastal Zone Management& Maritime Spatial Planning tools in the Adriatic area

7 WP4 Coordinator: Veneto Region (Italia) Shipping towards Maritime Spatial Planning 4.5Common methodology for MSP in Adriatic: gathering the results of other actions, hare are the shared guidelines useful to implement all the different steps and apply the principles of MSP, tailored for the Adriatic basin
8 WP5 between land and sea WP5 Coordinator: RCC Koper& Emilia-Romagna An integrated tool that gathers all the available data, both at basin and at local scale, able to support planning processes to implement ICZM & MSP The Atlas is being constantly updated, and further developed by other projectswith new thematic layers
9 Unespected results & impacts SHAPe sadhesion to the FACECOAST project cluster(face the challenge of climate change in the med coastal zones) close networking with the PAP/RAC RAC s National Focal Point network, that brought to a very wide spread of SHAPe s results and to the elaboration of new project ideas for future cooperation SHAPe s inclusion in EUSAIR Action Plan as a key project to capitalize. Actually during the last Thematic Steering Group, SHAPe sgis Atlas was included in the list of databases useful to define the baseline for Pillar 3 actions and initiatives TEPproj ect
