dieťaťa, 44, 2009, č. 2, s VZTAH MEZI TVOŘIVOSTÍ PUBESCENTŮ A NĚKTERÝMI FAKTORY RODINNÉHO PROSTŘEDÍ LUCIE TROJANOVÁ - ZDENKA STRÁNSKÁ Pedagogicko-psychologická poradna, Žďár nad Sázavou Psychologický ústav, Filozofická fakulta Masarykovy univerzity, Brno THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CREATIVITY OF PUBESCENTS AND SOME FACTORS OF FAMILY ENVIRONMENT Abstract: The study deals with links between some aspects of family environment and figural and verbal creativity of pubescents. The results confirmed only a small number of the assumed links. Weak correlations of the negative value were evident between the perceived orientation of family on success and verbal creativity, and also between organization of family and figural creativity. Furthermore, a link between the birth order of pubescents and figural creativity was confirmed. Achievement in the TSD-Z test correlated with achievement in the Sentence subtest. A difference between boys and girls, too, was confirmed in the perception of family environment conflictness. Gender differences were not confirmed in achievement of pubescents in creativity tests. Key words: creativity, figural creativity, verbal creativity, family environment, pubescence

dieťaťa. 44, 2009, č. 2. s PREŽÍVANIE PRÍSLUŠNOSTI KU KOMUNITE A SUBJEKTÍVNA KVALITA ŽIVOTA RÓMSKYCH A NERÓMSKYCH ŽIAKOV ZÁKLADNEJ ŠKOLY ELENA LISÁ Výskumný ústav detskej psychológie a patopsychológie, Bratislava EXPERIENCING OF COMMUNITY BELONGING AND SUBJECTIVE QUALITY OF LIFE BY ROMA AND NON-ROMA BASIC-SCHOOL PUPILS Abstract: The goal of this study was to verify connections between a community belonging and subjective quality of life. The sample of 140 7th-grade pupils (mean age of 13 years) participated in the research, of which 62 (44 %) children were Roma pupils and 78 (56 %) non-roma pupils. The results: Community belonging has two dimensions: belonging to a place and belonging to people. It is thus defined by both the Roma and non-roma community. Community belonging is a cognitive-emotional construct, while belonging to a place pertains rather to cognitive component and belonging to people to emotional component. The intensity of experiencing of community belonging does not depend on adolescents' gender, the class type (the mixed class / Roma class); neither it depends on one's place of living, nor on one's ethnical membership. Community belonging predicts experiencing of subjective quality of life: positive attitude toward life, self-esteem, emotional habitual well-being, and satisfaction with community. Key words: community belonging, satisfaction, subjective quality of life, Roma pupils

dieťaťa, 44, 2009, č. 2, s PROFESIJNÁ ORIENTÁCIA ŽIAKOV STREDNÝCH ODBORNÝCH ŠKÔL STEFAN VENDEL - NATÁLIA SEDLÁK VENDELOVÁ Prešovská univerzita, Prešov Univerzita P. J. Šafárika v Košiciach VOCATIONAL ORIENTATION OF SECONDARY-SCHOOL PUPILS Abstract: A research of vocational orientation of pupils of secondary schools was realized on the sample of 3010 pupils from all Slovak counties. The biggest number of pupils of Secondary Technical Schools (SOŠ) and secondary Vocational Schools (SOU) (16,6%) choose, after they complete their professional secondary-school training, jobs in the group of "other scientists and professional intellectual employees" (based on the classification of the Slovak Statistical Office). The group of "chief employees of big organizations - managers" achieved the second highest percentual representation. On the other hand, there is a very low interest in classes of jobs in shops, shoe and clothing industry, metallurgy, in groups of jobs such as manufacturers and mechanics of precision instruments, artistic artisans and printers, food industry, agriculture, wood and fishing industry, etc. The secondary school fulfilled expectations to more than two thirds of pupils. In spite of this, only a smaller part would choose their scope of study once again at the same school. However, to one fourth of pupils school rather did not fulfill their original expectations. The most frequent reason for dissatisfaction with the scope of study pupils are trained for is their loss of interest in it. Most future graduates of secondary schools would like to continue in daily university studies (44,8%). After school completion, almost half of pupils would solve their unemployment situation by looking for jobs in foreign countries. The most frequent work value for secondary-school pupils is to utilize their abilities and to realize oneself. Other important values are a good salary and other benefits, to be independent, to work independently, and have no fear from being dismissed from work. Of the five key competencies for which school prepares, technical and vocational school pupils value professional theoretical knowledge as the best and commandment of foreign language as the worst. Key words: vocational development, vocational choice

dieťaťa, 44, 2009, č. 2, s OVEROVANIE PROGRAMU NA ROZVOJ SOCIÁLNYCH KOMPETENCIÍ ŽIAKOV 1. STUPŇA ZŠ ELENA LISÁ - MONIKA GREGUSSOVÁ - DANIELA KOVÁČIKOVÁ - BIBIÁNA FILÍPKOVÁ - EVA FARKAŠOVÁ Výskumný ústav detskej psychológie a patopsychológie, Bratislava VERIFICATION OF THE PROGRAM FOR DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIAL COMPETENCES OF PUPILS OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Abstract: The authors created a program for development of social competences and verified its effectiveness in 3rd and 4th grades of basic school. The authors focused on the program's effect on changes in experiencing one's mutual relationships in the class, and they also focused on subjective experiencing of wellbeing among friends and in school. They noticed improvement in satisfaction with friends in the whole sample and in the sample of boys in 3rd grades of basic school. They also identified statistically as well as effect-size significant changes in girls of 4th grade of basic schools. Girls expressed - after the completion of the program - higher satisfaction with school and friends; and their subjective experiencing of positive feelings in school increased. Key words: social competencies, preventive program

dieťaťa. 44, 2009, č. 2, s ANALÝZA OBŤAŽNOSTI POLOŽIEK VERBÁLNYCH SUBTESTOV WOODCOCK-JOHNSONOVEJ TESTOV U RÓMSKYCH DETÍ EVA BALLOVÁ MIKUŠKOVÁ Univerzita Konštantína Filozofa, Nitra ANALYSIS OF DIFFICULTNESS OF VERBAL SUBTESTS ITEMS IN WOODCOCK-JOHNSON TESTS USED WITH ROMA CHILDREN Abstract: The goal of the research was to verify the suitability of item arrangement in verbal subtests of Woodcock- Johnson Tests (WJIE) according to difficultness of the items. The verification pertained to the following subtests: Pictorial Vocabulary, Synonyms, Opposites, and Verbal Analogies, which were administered to 41 non-integrated and half-integrated Roma children at the age of 8-13 years. Results of the frequency analysis show that the items in WJIE verbal subtests are, indeed, arranged according to their difficultness; however, bigger variations were manifested in the Verbal Analogies subtest. Key words: analysis of difficultness of items, Woodcock-Johnson Tests
