2 TEXTBOOK NARRATIVE FOR THE STATE OF TENNESSEE Adobe CS5 Student Edition (ISBN: ) Overview Learning Media Design Adobe CS5 is a project-based book that use applications and exercises to teach the software concepts and skills needed to integrate Adobe CS5 applications together. Features Hands-on exercises and applications provide students with a practical method to learning software skills as well as design concepts for print publications. Exercises introduce basic skills then build to integrate Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign together. The full color illustrations visually support the concepts taught. The text is spiral bound for extra ease-ofuse. This is the only design text to integrate Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign applications. 4 Course Description The student will apply keying, formatting, typography, layout, and design skills in developing electronic publishing documents. The student will develop skills in electronic publishing design, layout, composition, and photo journalism. Content provides the opportunity to acquire marketable skills and to prepare for gainful employment and or entry into postsecondary education in the graphic communications industry. Laboratory facilities and experiences simulate those found in the graphic communications industry. (A computerized workstation with dedicated page layout software is required for each student.) Standard 1:0 The student will develop and apply concepts related to human relations, safety, career development, communications, and leadership skills for a global workplace.
