1 Job Description Post Title: Main Purpose: Responsible to: Office: Hours: Senior Operations Manager To manage all cricket operational issues, liaise with the ICC and ICC Europe, line manage the operations/administrative staff. Chief Executive ("CEO") National Cricket Academy, MES Sports Centre, Edinburgh, EH4 3NT 37.5 hours per week Key Areas of Work: 1 Administration of Scottish national teams The post holder will be responsible for the management of the operations department, including the following operational issues including all fixture organisation, travel arrangements, registration etc. Under 15 and Under 17 ECB Championships Under 15 European Tournaments (Out of Scotland) Under 15 European Tournaments ( In Scotland) Under 17 International Series Under 19 - General Under 19 European and World Tournaments Scotland Women s teams close liaison with Women s Cricket Manager Development XI and Lions fixtures The National Team Close liaison with the Director of Cricket and Head Coach on a continuing basis. Logistical organisation of all the team s fixtures, arranged by ICC and Cricket Scotland ("CS") in advance, but delivered by CS. Organisation of training needs/facilities in consultation with the Director of Cricket, and through him, Head Coach. Agreement of the performance programme training schedule with input from coaches and facility providers. Ensuring smooth player movement around the UK to fixtures. Managing all aspects of domestic and international

2 accommodation/transport For home fixtures, being the Match Manager at all matches and ensuring all preparations are in place. On day ownership of all match management issues. Direct liaison with home venues. All logistics associated with overseas travel for all Scottish teams For ICC World tournaments, managing squad registration and eligibility deadlines. For home Intercontinental Cup and ODI fixtures, sending budgets to ICC in advance of the fixtures along with a Security Plan. Preparing a Memorandum of Understanding when a Full Member country visits Scotland. Management of all kit and uniform issues, both playing and team wear. Consistent communication with the CEO and Director of Cricket, and through the latter, the Head Coach and all other Scotland team coaches and managers to ensure effective performance programme, match day and tour administration. 2 Administration of Pro Series 3 Strategic Management 4 Regional Associations 5 Major Match Management 6 ICC T20 Qualifier 2015 Work with the Performance staff to manage all logistics issues for the Reivers and Highlanders Pro teams including fixture setting, transport and match day logistics. Report to the senior management team of the CEO, Director of Cricket and the Finance Director. Manage the operational partnership with the WDCU and the other two regional associations once formal partnership agreements are in place. Delivery of all key logistics for major Scotland matches including ODI and T20 Internationals. Lead CS staff member in organisation of major match cricket logistic requirements. To deliver the ICC T20Q in 2015 in partnership with the contracted Event Manager directly responsible for all central logistics from a CS stand point. Liaison with Cricket Ireland and ICC. 7 Line Management The post will directly line manage the Administration Manager, Events and Operations Manager, and the Communications Manager, as well as working closely with any external contractor. Financial Membership Database Key Partnerships External: Internal: Responsibility for the cricket operations budget, circa 500K - close budget management responsibility, reporting to the Finance Director. Inputting to the agreement of host agreements with member clubs along with the CEO and Finance Director. Ownership of the strategy for implementation of the new Membership database project once completed responsibility for maintaining effective membership database Clubs, Regional & Local Associations, England and Wales Cricket Board & ICC Europe, key volunteers National and Regional Participation team, CEO, Finance Director, Director of Cricket, Performance staff, Administration and Operations staff, Women s Cricket

3 Manager, Boards, Regional Associations. Targets: Reporting Projects Personal targets will be set through discussion with CEO in line with the Cricket Scotland Strategy. Targets will be reported on and reviewed under the following: Impact in the short and long term Value for money and financial performance Continuous improvement relating to innovative, ongoing and learning. Partnership effectiveness.
