3 Hand Postures Mudra Yoga to Improve IQ & Energy Levels What is Mudra Yoga? Mudra in Sanskrit means a posture/seal. Yoga Mudras are basically postures for the hands and fingers. The techniques of Hand postures, also known as Mudra Yoga and developed in ancient India, were based on Science of Neurons. Even today we can notice Mudras in various forms of Indian classical dances. Quick Intro on Science behind Mudra Yoga According to Ancient Indian Sciences there is a tremendous flow of energy in our hands. Each finger represents one of the five elements. According to Mudra Therapists The roots of all diseases lie in an imbalance of one of the five elements and can be corrected with mudra Practice Even Modern Science started researching on Nerve Endings and their connection to body organs. According to them, we have about 4000 nerve endings at the tips of our fingers. That is what makes mudras (yoga for the fingers) so effective, because the nerve endings are connected with organs and can influence, relax, stimulate or balance them, depending on the individual need. A map of the brain shows that the tiny nerve endings in the tips of the fingers correspond to more areas located in the brain than any other part of the body. One study done by the National Institute of Mental Health showed that finger exercises actually enlarged the brain s capacity, increased the numbers of connections between the brain s neurons, created new neural pathways and increased circulation.

4 Why Mudra Yoga? Mudra Yoga provides many simple tips and techniques to improve one s IQ, including memory, concentration, self confidence, energy levels, vitality and much more. The advantage in Mudras is that the pressure to be applied on the nerves is automatic and controlled by the shape and size of one s own fingers and not by external agencies. Hand postures are easy to learn and apply and helps one and all especially children and youth to develop in all levels of their being i.e. physical, mental, emotional and social development. There are countless number of hand postures that have been applied in therapy by Mudra therapists. While specific Mudras are available to prevent or cure specific ailments, Gyan and Prana Mudras are two simple Hand postures that can be practiced by anyone and everyone, for any length of time, anywhere and they will always give multi fold health benefits,. only pre requisite is investment of time, zeal and open mindedness to explore & experience natural & holistic ways to improve one s IQ, EQ, Energy Levels etc without spending a dime, needless to say some of the most valuable tips & Ancient Scientific solutions are simple, easy to follow and always available for free.

5 Hand Posture to improve one s IQ -Gyan Mudra - Gyan means pure knowledge. Method: The tip of the index finger and the top of the thumb are mutually touched. The other three fingers are kept apart in a straight position. Time duration: There is no particular time duration for this mudra. One can practice this while sitting, standing or lying down on the bed whenever and wherever you have time. Benefits: Helps in increasing memory and I.Q and is useful for enhancing mental capabilities. Practice of this mudra smoothly increases the flow of blood-supply and circulation in the brain to help energize the neurons for instant action. 6 Hand Posture to Improve One s Energy Levels - Prana Mudra Prana means Life Force. Method: Prana mudra is formed by joining the thumb, the little and the ring fingers so that these three would gently and constantly touch each other while the middle and the fourth fingers are kept apart in a stretched position. Time duration: There is no specific time duration. One can practice it for any length of time, any time and any place. Benefits: Practicing this Mudra energizes and activates every cell of the body and thus helps in regulating the biochemical and physiological processes and induces youthfulness and alacrity. Enhances vitality and immune system of the body. It invigorates the defense mechanism of the body and thus increases its capacity to fight against dreaded diseases. Instant effect of the prana Mudra is felt in the form of energetic vibrations in the closed eyes, while keeping one or both the hands in this posture. Increase the energy levels, and even helps the body in increasing its vitality and sustenance when deprived of food and water.
