2 Concept to Completion The Comprehensive Treatment Solution Biological Nutrient Removal Process 2 mgd Installation in Florida MUNICIPAL INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPER Davco field-erected treatment plants offer optimum application flexibility relative to physical size, flow rates, treatment levels and site requirements. (Field-erected treatment plants have a relatively small footprint, which can reduce site acquisition and preparation.) Process capacities range from 0.1 to 5.0 million gallons per day (mgd), however, 10 mgd plants employing multiple units are currently in operation. Davco field-erected treatment plants are available in carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, fiberglass, concrete, or any combination of these materials. Davco field-erected plants are employed in every part of North America, in a wide variety of municipal and industrial applications. Virtually all effluent permit requirements can be met with the technology. Davco field-erected treatment plants have saved thousands of cities, municipalities, developments and businesses literally millions-of-dollars in capital, maintenance and operating costs. Davco field-erected treatment plants are available with every type of modern process technology, and in a variety of configurations, ranging from activated sludge processes to selector and sequencing batch technologies and oxidation ditch configurations. One unique Davco field-erected design utilizes the dual path process which provides complete process redundancy, meeting EPA Class I, II, or III reliability standards in a single tank. In reuse applications, and other instances where process redundancy is required, the innovative and reliable dual path design offers significant savings in both capital cost and land utilization, while achieving even strict biological nutrient removal. All Davco treatment plants are guaranteed to meet or exceed all Federal, State, and Local government requirements. In fact, Siemens has more than two decades of experience in the design of biological nutrient removal processes, meeting the most stringent effluent requirements. Siemens process experts are always available to guide process selection activities, and to assist with technological support in all phases of application refinement, process design and specification development. The Siemens Team is the industry s most experienced, relative to field-erected treatment plant assembly methods, procedures, and quick start-up techniques. Over the years, the Siemens installation team has earned an enviable reputation for its quality on-site workmanship, and its reliability in meeting strict schedule and budget parameters. With the use of the Siemens installation team, sole-source responsibility is assured. Dual Path Process 1 mgd Installation in North Carolina

Concrete plants have to be virtually handmade under rugged construction-site conditions. Plus, their associated engineering and construction costs easily range into the millions and even tens-of-millions of dollars. In very cold climate conditions, field-erected treatment plants may be partially or fully buried to utilize the earth as insulation. This conserves the latent heat of the incoming raw sewage and prevents freezing. 5 Short On-Site Installation Time Concept-to-completion timelines for site-built concrete treatment plants can be exceedingly long often ranging into many months and even years. In contrast, Davco fielderected treatment plants from Siemens Water Technologies are pre-engineered and factory built. The assemblies and fittings in these field-erected plants benefit from the machine-shop atmosphere of factory construction, and provide a major advantage with exceedingly short on-site installation time. Davco field-erected treatment plant components are trucked to the site and installed on a concrete baseslab. (Typically the site is prepared cleared and excavated as necessary and the slab poured while the system is manufactured at the Siemens factory.) The field installation of a Davco treatment plant primarily involves assembling and welding the components together, then cleaning and coating the entire system as appropriate coatings vary, dependent on application and locale. Site Prep Slab Pouring Site Assembly Start Up Factory Fabrication Component Delivery Davco field-erected treatment plants can be installed in a matter of weeks, and costs are a fraction of laborintensive, built-in-place approaches. Also, Davco field-erected treatment plants have proven their long-life functionality and durability over decades and in all types of climatic extremes.
