5 Site Location The campus of North Carolina A&T State University is located within the city of Greensboro, North Carolina. Since its inception as a land grant university in 1891, North Carolina A&T has year after year carried a rich tradition of leadership and achievement. Spread over 188 beautiful acres at the center of North Carolina's Piedmont, A&T's campus is just 9 blocks from downtown Greensboro. Well-known for its quality of life, the area's mix of industry with schools and universities contributes to its economic and cultural diversity. An international airport plus two interstate highways facilitate easy access from all directions. DIN. 6
6 Buildable Area MARTINA The buildable area for the new Student Center will be in the location of the existing Memorial Student Union and the site area to the west of the existing Union. This area is boarded by Campbell Hall to the east, Cooper Hall to the west, John Mitchell Drive to the south and Marteena Hall and Robeson Theater to the north. The red frames indicate the buildable area on the site plan to the right. COOPER CAMPBELL BOOKSTORE BLUFORD CIRCLE 8
