2 2 1 - IF YOU ARE STAYING WITH A HOST FAMILY YOUR ARRIVAL IN ANTIBES : Your host family will be waiting for you upon your arrival! At the Nice Côte d Azur airport : Your family will be waiting for you at your arrival gate with a name sign. If you don t see them, please make your way to the information desk of the airport ( Informations ) situated in front of the arrival gates; ask if there is a message for you, if not, call the emergency number or the host family number. At the Antibes train station : Your host family will be present at the exit of the train station to welcome you with a sign with your name on it. If you don t meet them, call the emergency number or the host family number. EMERGENCY NUMBER : a telephone hotline is provided during the weekend in case of any problem (33) (0) It is imperative that you inform us of your exact arrival time 2 weeks before your arrival. If the information is not provided, we will not be able to guarantee your arrival transfer and you will have to pay for a taxi (50-70 ) If you are coming by your own means to Antibes: you can agree on an easy meet-up point with your host family, for example, the Antibes train station. Arrival and departure transfers are only guaranteed from 6.30am to 9.00pm (Saturday and Sunday). That means that for all flights arriving after 9 pm and leaving before 8.30 am, students will have to take a taxi. THE ROOM : We kindly request that you keep the room clean and tidy during your stay. Upon your departure, we would appreciate if you could leave the room in the same condition it was given on your arrival day. Should you cause any damage during your stay, the repair costs will be at your expense. THE MEALS : Breakfast : Everyday with the family Half-board : Breakfast and dinners everyday with the family WARNING : In France, the breakfast is usually a tea or a coffee with toasts. We can t consider this as a full meal and it happens that the family members don t have breakfast together. On the other hand, dinners are usually taken with the entire family. Don t be surprised if they serve you water from the tap, the water is safe to drink. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note that students accommodated in host family accommodation are not allowed to use the kitchen of the host family to keep or prepare their own food. THE SERVICES : Sheets : provided Towels : NOT provided Laundry : The families who accept to wash students laundry in their washing machine will request a 2 euros compensation per wash. Telephone : Students can receive calls on the host family s phone. For their own calls, they will have to use public telephones. Internet : Host families do not systematically have Internet or WIFI. Should they have access, they can kindly provide it to their students but this is not an obligation on their behalf.

3 3 2 - IF YOU ARE STAYING IN A RESIDENCE YOUR ARRIVAL IN ANTIBES : If you are arriving on a Saturday or outside of the reception opening hours of your residence, we kindly ask you to book a transfer provided by our driver who will have the keys of your room and will help you settle in. Arrival and departure transfers are only guaranteed from 6.30am to 9.00pm (Saturday and Sunday) Outside this time, you will have to take a taxi. The key of your room and welcome information package will be available in the residence (we will provide you with the details upon your reservation). IF YOU HAVE A TRANSFER, A DRIVER WILL BE WAITING FOR YOU UPON YOUR ARRIVAL! 8 8 THE ROOM : The keys of the room will be available from 4pm. Except for the Hotel Ambassadeur, all of the residences are serviced apartments and the housework needs to be done by the students. They must leave their room in perfect order and cleanliness upon departure. Should this not be the case, a fee of 50 will be retained from their deposit to clean the room. Damages caused by the students and the possible losses are the student s responsibilities. The students are kindly requested to leave the room before 10am the day of their departure. THE DEPOSIT : In all of our residences, a deposit of 200 /pax will be requested. It will be returned on the day of your departure, unless the room is not handed over in the same conditions it was given on the arrival day, or should anything be broken, or should there be any damage or loss of keys. The deposit can be made in cash or by credit card imprint THE TOURIST TAX : The city of Antibes requests that travellers staying in the city pay a tourist tax. This tax allows them to finance expenses linked to tourist traffic. Amount of tax per residence : Aragon Residence (Studios) : 1,50 /day/person Castel Arabel Residence (Studios) : 1,50 /day/person Castel Arabel Residence (Student and standard rooms) : 0,75 /day/person Villa Nador Residence (Standard rooms) : 0,75 /day/person «Ambassadeur» Hotel : 3 /day/person This tax can possibly rise during the year THE SERVICES : Sheets : provided Towels : NOT provided (except in the Ambassadeur Hotel) Laundry : Washing machine and dryer are available in all residences (except for the hotel Ambassadeur ). Price for the use of the washing machine: 4 / Price for the use of the dryer: 2 Internet : Our residences: WIFI is available at a cost of 5 /week. In the hotel Ambassadeur : WIFI is free in the communal areas; for Internet in the rooms, the cost is 15 /week. Collective Kitchen: a collective kitchen is available for long term students (8 weeks or more) accommodated in standard or student rooms.

9 3 - THE SCHOOL HOW TO GET TO THE SCHOOL : All of our residences are at 10 to 15 minute walk from the school. Upon arrival, the Head of the residence will provide you with a map of Antibes and will explain to you how to get to the school. ECOLE DU CHÂTEAU 28, Avenue du Château Antibes Tél. (33) (0) You have to be at 9:15am in the lobby of the school «Le Reception Opening Hours : Château» From Monday to Friday : A welcome meeting is organised at 9:30am to show the school 10:30am - 11:00am and to introduce you to the team. During this first day: - You will sit a written and oral French test in order to know your level. - You will participate in a visit of Antibes to discover the city and its attractions. If you have executive classes or individual classes only: you have a meeting at 8:30am in the school lobby where your teacher will await you. ASSIGNMENT TO A SCHOOL : We have two schools: «Le Château» and «Le Port». Depending on your test results, the school, class, room number and teacher s name will be posted on the information bulletin board in the hall of the «Le Château» school. If your classes take place at «Le Port» school, a free shuttle will be available in the morning from «Le Château» school. WARNING: there are no classes on public holidays THE MEALS : If you are at school Le Château : we offer you a self-service restaurant that is located in the school. The meals are to be paid directly on the premises. If you are at school Le Port : you are in downtown Antibes and you will find a variety of restaurants and snack stands. You can also, if you wish, go to Le Château school that is 15 minute walk away. PROGRAM FOR FAMILIES : If you are staying in one of our residences: Upon arrival, the Head of the residence will hand you a document that will explain how your children will be taken care of, the organisation of the transfer and the schedule. If you are also taking classes, please present yourself at the school Le Château at 8:30 on Monday morning. If you have organized your own accommodation: Please bring your child to his/her school that is indicated on his/her confirmation sheet ( Le Château outside of summer period or the Horticole campus during July and August). If you are also taking classes, please present yourself at the school Le Château at 8:30 on Monday morning. During summer, we can organize a shuttle for your children from the school Le Château to the school Horticole for a fee of 100 per week. For this service, please inform us of your request no later than 2 weeks before your arrival. 9
