7 Data Sources Production Data Statistical Information on Nepalese Agriculture, published by MOAD on annual basis Provides data on production of all crop and livestock statistics on seasonal/annual basis Population Data Statistical yearbook of Nepal, published by Central Bureau of Statistics on annual basis Mainly based on decennial population censuses

Trade Data Trade statistics of Nepal, published by TEPC on annual basis Provides data on import export of all items (including crop and livestock statistics) on annual basis, are based on HS code Manufacturing Data Statistical yearbook of Nepal, published by Central Bureau of Statistics on annual basis Mainly based on surveys and censuses of manufacturing establishments

10 Data Problems For population, census data are available on every 10 years and projection varies from institution to institution ie UN and CBS For trade, on official(illegal) trade to and from India due to open boarder For production, weak survey system within the ministry of agriculture development and its departments More problem in estimating the livestock data, number as well as associated production
