Eumerated Value : NET STATE 0 : CONNECTED 1 : NOT CONNECTED 2 : DISABLED UNUSED 5 Reserved for future use. Note: You ca use the fuctioality of ay of the drive's iteral Fuctio Blocks with the Techology Optio. I some cases, the 590+ drive may require you to use the MiiLINK fuctio block to achieve proper triggerig of other fuctio blocks. IMPORTANT: Whe usig DSE Lite, istall the cofiguratio ito the drive through the P3 port (RS232 cofiguratio port) usig the Commad/Istall pull-dow meu. The cofiguratio is saved directly to the Drive s iteral memory. 12 Commissioig the Etheret Techology Optio 7 Cofigurig the IP address Whe the Techology Optio is shipped from the factory, all the switches are i the OFF positio. The Techology Optio will read the switches durig iitializatio. The positio of these switches determie how the IP address ca be cofigured. The IP address ca be cofigured usig oe of three methods: 1 Cofigure IP Address usig DIL Switches If the switches are set to a o-zero value the address will come from the DIL switches. The Subet mask ad Gateway addresses are fixed to the followig values: Subet mask: Gateway address: The eight positio DIL switch represets the biary value of the last byte of the IP address: Example IP address: where the switches are set to (decimal 20) ON (MSB) (LSB) Figure 3. IP Address Selector Switch 2 Cofigure IP Address usig Iteret Explorer Note: The IP address ca be cofigured via the itraet usig Iteret Explorer (versio 5.5 or higher). It is possible to use other web browsers, but for our example we will be usig Iteret Explorer versio 6. If all switches are i the OFF positio (zero value), the IP address will be read from the flash memory that is cofigured with Iteret Explorer. 1. Set a temporary IP address usig the DIL switches. This provides a IP address o the Techology Optio. For example, set IP address Refer to Figure Temporarily chage the computer s Iteret protocol properties to gai access to the itraet that is used with Techology Optio. This example will use IP address Refer to Figure 4. Figure 4. Iteret Protocol Properties 6053/6055 Etheret Commuicatios Iterface

13 8 3. Lauch Iteret Explorer. 4. Go to the itraet address that was set by the DIL switches. The scree show i Figure 5 will be displayed. Iput the desired IP address ad Store Cofiguratio. Note: The Gateway address will eed to be set if access from aother subetwork is required. Figure 5. Cofiguratio Web Page 5. Restore all the DIL switches to the OFF positio (zero value). The flash memory i the Techology Box is ow programmed. Whe the Techology Box is iitialised o the ext power-up cycle, the IP address will come from flash memory, provided that the DIL switches are set to the OFF positio (zero value). 3 Usig the Address Resolutio Protocol (ARP) The IP address ca be chaged durig rutime usig the ARP commad from a PC. The ew IP address will be stored i the FLASH. Below is a example o how to chage the IP address from a MS DOS widow: arp -s <IP address> <MAC address> pig <IP address> arp -d <IP address> The arp -s commad will store the IP ad MAC addresses i the PC s ARP table. Whe the pig commad is executed, the PC seds this iformatio to the module usig the MAC address. The module detects that it was addressed with the correct MAC address ad adopts the IP address set by the PC. (The arp -d commad is optioal, but it removes the static route from the PC ARP table). This method ca be used to recofigure modules that have already bee cofigured, or eve to recofigure modules outside the host s subet. The MAC address is prited o a label o the bottom side of the module. Note: As the Arp commad automatically cofigures the subet mask to , the first three bytes of the IP address must be the same as for the PC executig the commad. Example: PC Module x (Where x is a value betwee 1 ad 254) 6053/6055 Etheret Commuicatios Iterface
