Figure 7 NOTE If timing belt does not slide over driven pulley (Figure 7, item ) flange, loosen driven pulley set screws and remove pulley with belt (Figure 7, item ). For re-installation, see steps 7 and 8 of "Bottom Mount Mid Drive Assembly" story on page 8. NOTE If drive pulley (Figure 7, item ) is replaced, wrap timing belt around drive pulley and complete step.. Complete steps 7 through 9 of "Bottom Mount Mid Drive Assembly" story on page 8. Gear Reducer Replacement A WARNING Exposed moving parts can cause severe injury. LOCK OUT POWER before removing guards or performing maintenance. Figure 7. Remove gearmotor (Figure 9, item ) from mounting plate (Figure 9, item ). Figure 9 NOTE Follow proper procedure below depending upon old or new style gearmotor assembly. For e-drive style gearmotor. Loosen four () socket head screws (Figure, item ) and detach spacer (Figure, item ) from gear reducer (Figure, item ). Figure Figure 9. Remove four screws (Figure 0, item ). For old style gearmotor prior to June 0. Loosen six (6) set screws (Figure 6, item ). Remove drive shaft (Figure 6, item ) and key (Figure 6, item ). Figure 6 Figure. Replace the original shaft components into new gear reducer (Figure ). IMPORTANT Be extremely careful when coupling motor to gear reducer. Avoid misalignment and forcing the connection causing possible permanent gear reducer seal damage. 8. Hold the driveshaft with a wrench (Figure, item ) as shown to keep shaft from turning, while installing screw with hex wrench (Figure, item ). Tighten screw to 00 in-lb (. Nm) for CZ or 0 in-lb (9. Nm) for C, 6B and 7B. 9. Apply anti-seize to motor shaft before assembling to gearbox. With key (Figure 0, item ) in keyway, slide motor (Figure 0, item ) and gear reducer (Figure 0, item ) together. Install screws (Figure 0, item ) and tighten. Figure 7. Replace the original shaft components into new gear reducer (Figure 6). IMPORTANT Be extremely careful when coupling motor to gear reducer. With key (Figure, item ) in keyway, slide motor (Figure, item ) and gear reducer (Figure, item ) together. Install screws (Figure, item ) and tighten.. Complete steps 7 through 8 of "Bottom Mount Mid Drive Assembly" story on page 8. Three Phase Motor. Loosen terminal box screws (Figure 8, item ) and remove cover (Figure 8, item ). Items that are returned to Dorner without authorization will not be credited nor returned to the original sender.
