NOTE: The full nose mask cannot be installed on vehicle equipped with a hood air deflector or fender trims. These procedures should not be attempted by do-it-yourselfers. NOTE: Make sure the vehicle and the nose mask are clean and completely dry before installation. If moisture under the mask is allowed to dry, it may cloud the paint. If the mask gets wet, remove it and allow it to air-dry completely. Make sure any repainted surfaces are cured. Wax the hood and nose of the vehicle with a highquality paste wax. Install the nose mask securely. If the nose mask starts to flap or comes loose while driving, safely pull to the side of the road, stop the vehicle, and secure or remove the mask American Honda Motor Co., Inc. All Rights Reserved. 2 Displaying the Front License Plate If your state law requires the display of both license plates, cut out the piece of the bumper section that covers the front license plate: Face the inside of the mask toward you. Carefully cut out the license plate section with scissors at the top seam, and remove the overcast stitching. Installing with Front Corner Sensors If the vehicle is equipped with front corner sensors, cut out the front corner sensors position on the right and left bumper sections using a utility knife. Cut along the concave line. Cut along the line at the section shown. CUT PART CORNER SENSORS POSITION QA50904AB QA50903AB Installing with Fog Lights If the vehicle is equipped with fog lights, cut out the piece of the bumper section that covers the fog lights: Face the inside of the mask toward you. 3 Installing the Hood Section 1. Open the hood. Fit the corners of the mask around the hood. Adjust the mask so that it fits smoothly over the edges. Attach the hooks to the hood. Remove / install the hooks by inserting your finger into the belt of each hook. Installing the Bumper Section 2. Slip the mask pocket onto the front corner of the left front fender. LEFT PLASTIC 2 S Route the hook under the hood rubber seal. LEFT POCKET RUBBER SEAL QA50906AB WASHER TUBE 3. Attach the plastic hook from the mask to the left front fender. Repeat steps 2 and 3 on the right side. 4. On each side, attach the four plastic hooks to the fenderwell. 4 5. Insert the three tabs between the left headlight and the front bumper. Repeat on the right side. 7. On each side, insert the two tabs between the front grille and the headlight. 3 TABS LEFT 2 TABS LEFT QA50908AB QA51001AB 6. Attach the four hooks to the vehicle frame, front bulkhead cover, and front grille as shown. 8. 5 9. Route the four upper straps at the lower grille area into the front bumper, and attach the loops on the four upper straps to the hooks on the bottom of the mask. 10. Attach the two plastic hooks to the bottom inside edge of the front bumper as shown. UPPER STRAP OF THE Route the upper strap under the vehicle harness. HARNESS 2 PLASTIC S 4 S 2 S QA51004AB 11. Attach the two hooks to the bottom edge of the front bumper as shown. CLEANING THE NOSE LOOP 4 UPPER STRAPS QA51003AB Use a sponge or cloth and a solution of mild liquid dishwashing soap and water to clean the vinyl and the flannel backing. Rinse the mask completely with clean water, and hang it to dry out of direct sunlight. Make sure the mask is completely dry before you reinstall it American Honda Motor Co., Inc. All Rights Reserved.
