We have prepared this checklist of birds to help you keep track of our spectacular and precious birdlife. You may also consult on-line with FWC s Bird atlas data (MyFWC.com/bba). Birds occurring near the WMA/WEA, but not actually recorded within its borders, are counted on the list if suitable habitat exists and if reasonable probability exists that the bird will occur there in the future. Thus, very rare birds recorded outside the WMA are not included on the list, but common birds are. How you can help This checklist is just a starting point.
