3 SBC draft Supplementary guidance (SG) on housing The draft SG likely to go out for an eight week consultation period shortly is suggesting an allocation of 70 units for the March Street Mill site The draft SG also suggests a further 30 housing units for Rosetta Holiday Park The draft SG suggests that all six of the other sites brought forward for consideration all south of the river be rejected for inclusion in the SG The draft SG is available at %20Appendix%20A%20Supplementary%20Guidance%20Housing.pdf
4 Site owner s proposals Arising from the second public exhibition, the site owner has two development proposals, both of which focus heavily on housing On the basis of the draft SG proposal to accept an allocation of up to 70 housing units for the March Street Mill site, the owner s are likely to proceed quickly to submission of an application for outline planning permission (Planning Permission in Principle PPP) for mixed development of the site to include around 70 housing units

23 The Tweedmill Centre concept The Peebles Creative Hub is a creative community located in the stunning Borders town of Peebles, 20 miles to the south of Edinburgh building on the existing creative cluster of artisan craftsmen, musicians, theatre and the visual artists. The Tweedmill Centre is a development on the site of a former tweed mill, and provides around 500 square metres of integrated facilities melding creative exchange, digital studios, incubator / training centre, and residential accommodation / live-over workspaces with a focus on product design and digital technologies linking to the local textile, forest products and woodworking, mountain biking, and the heritage and tourism sectors.
