2 The Hook-A-Rack is a universal loader for the front of your ATV or UTV that utilizes your winch (sold separately) to lift loads up to 300lbs. It also acts as an extended platform for carrying large items that wouldn t usually fit on the front of your ATV. The hooks on the bottom of the Hook-A-Rack are great for carrying buckets. After the initial installation, Hook-A-Rack can be installed or removed in less than a minute and uses tension from your ATV s winch to keep it attached, thus eliminating the need for additional fasteners. Hook-A-Rack requires a steel front rack and bumper, as well as a winch. You may use either a Cycle Country Winch Kit (Model No ) or any commercially available winch. A 2500lb winch is recommended. ATV s with engines smaller than 400cc are not recommended for full load capacity. Warning Operating Instructions Read before operating To avoid serious injury or death: 1. Read Hook-A-Rack owner s manual and ATV operator s manual before use. 2. Do not exceed 300lb. load capacity. 3. Do not exceed 5 MPH with Hook-A-Rack loaded. 4. Heavy loads on the Hook-A-Rack can adversely affect the handling of your ATV, causing loss of control. Operate ATV with extreme caution when traveling with a load on the Hook-A-Rack. 5. Do not carry loads that compromise the operator s vision. 6. If operating at night, do not carry loads that would reduce the effectiveness of your ATV s lights. 7. Securely fasten all loads before moving ATV. 8. Use locking bar when traveling. 9. Stay clear of moving winch cable during operation. 10. Use gloves when handling winch cable. 11. Do not allow riders on the Hook-A-Rack. 12. When installing, removing, loading, or unloading Hook-A-Rack, stop ATV and set parking brake. 2

4 Assembly / Installation All references of left and right are relative to the operator sitting on the ATV. 1. Assemble the basket as shown below. 2 3 Hook rubber straps through this slot

5 2. Assemble the upper square tube assembly as shown below Slide items 8 & 9 onto item 11. Do not tighten at this time. 3. Assemble the lower square tube assembly as shown below

6 4. Assemble the upper frame assembly as shown below Push item 12 onto items 6 & Upper square tube assembly from step 2. Lower square tube assembly from step Note: Actual locations will depend on model of ATV Place the upper frame assembly on the front of the ATV and adjust as shown below. Some ATVs may require the removal of the plastic bumper covering. Select the holes in items 6 & 7 that keep the upper frame assembly vertical. Front ATV rack Items 8 & 9 sit on top of the ATV's horizontal bumper tube. Slide them as far apart as possible and tighten. ATV bumper tubes 6 Adjust the height of the lower square tube assembly so it is 1"-2" above the ATV's winch. Adjust the height of the upper square tube assembly so this hole is approximately " from the ground.

7 6. Bolt the basket assembly into the upper frame assembly as shown below using items 17, 19, and Route winch cable and install pulley as shown below Winch Cable Insert winch cable hook through large hole. 7

8 Operation Your Hook-A-Rack is operated by using your ATV s winch. The locking bar (item 10) should be used when traveling to prevent the load from falling. To prevent damage to your Hook-A-Rack, it is important to stop the winch once the Hook-A-Rack has reached the highest position or when the locking bar is being used. All loads should be centered on the Hook-A-Rack. 1. Place the load onto the Hook-A-Rack and secure with rubber straps. 2. Raise the load to the desired height. 3. Lock the load with locking bar (item 10) as shown below and then tighten both plastic knobs (item 14) on each end of the locking bar. Loosen knob Remove knob and insert bolt through desired hole. Swing into place 4. To remove the Hook-A-Rack from your ATV, unhook the winch cable and remove the upper pulley (item 29). Tilt the Hook-A-Rack backwards and lift up. Reverse this step for re-installation. 8

If Cycle Country Accessories Corporation determines that the product must be returned to the factory for credit please call for an RMA number and shipping instructions.
