3 USEFUL SUGGESTIONS CALL TRANSFER FUNCTION Calls in progress can be transferred from the mobile phone to the system without ending the call. To transfer the call, press the Transfer button. Uconnect 6.5 Radio Nav makes an extensive range of functions available. However not all mobile phones support them fully. To consult the list of mobile phones and supported functions, visit the dedicated site or call Customer Service on (for more details on specific Customer Service numbers for each country, see the Customer Service Number List paragraph in the dedicated supplement).

5 How to set your audio preferences CONTROLS FOR Uconnect 6,5 Radio N av MUSIC SOURCE SELECTION To select the desired music source, use the following buttons: RADIO to select the RADIO, FM, AM and DAB (if available) sources. MEDIA to select the SD, USB/iPod, AUX or Bluetooth sources AUDIO ADJUSTMENTS Audio preferences (treble, bass, balance ) can be set by pressing the Settings and Audio on the touch screen. button, then Audio adjustments can also be accessed from the Radio and Media screens after pressing the Audio button on the touch screen.

6 WHAT TO DO BEFORE STARTING TO USE Uconnect 6.5 Radio Nav For correct use, you must first configure the system as follows: Activate the mobile phone in Bluetooth mode. Pair the mobile phone with Uconnect 6.5 Radio Nav, only necessary the first time. Download the phonebook if the function is supported by the phone (see site). Keep the mobile phone in Bluetooth mode: this way the system will recognise it each time you get into the car. Insert the multimedia player, USB storage device or ipod in the dedicated USB/AUX port to listen to music. 8 SETTINGS: U connect 6.5 Radio N av and the mobile MEDIA Insert the disc or USB/AUX device in the appropriate housing or connect a device via Bluetooth to play the audio files through the car s speakers. When using AUX devices, ensure that playback is active on the device itself. You can listen to MP3, WMA, M4A, AAC, M4B, MP4 and WAV audio files that are NOT protected by digital rights plus the following playlist formats: M3U, WPL. For the correct use of ipods, see the USB/iPod SUPPORT paragraph in the Supplement. The music is not downloaded to the car but can be managed using the controls on the steering wheel and system controls. Not all functions are available for AUX devices. Shuffle: the tracks are played in a random order for supported devices. Track loop: continuous repetition of the selected track for supported devices. To select music for playback, select the search mode (Artist, Genre, Album, Playlist ) from the Browse menu on the system s display for supported devices. MUTE: press z button on the panel or the steering wheel controls to deactivate the audio. PREVIOUS OR NEXT TRACK: it is possible to switch from one track to another by pressing / buttons (steering wheel controls) or /» buttons on the display. ACTIONS ON MOBILE WITH Bluetooth From the main menu on the Bluetooth phone SETTINGS CONNECTIONS BLUETOOTH Make sure that Bluetooth is activated DEVICES SEARCH FOR NEW DEVICE Select Uconnect ENTER THE PIN SMS MESSAGE READER Not all mobile phones support the transfer of SMS messages via Bluetooth. Consult the website for a list of compatible phones. Depending on the level of compatibility, some functions may not be available. The incoming message is read by the system s speech synthesiser, including abbreviations and smileys. When a new SMS message is received whilst driving, the system automatically notifies you in accordance with the mode set: MESSAGES ON/OFF. When an SMS is received, you can listen to it, ignore it or call the sender. It is also possible to forward the SMS or respond with a pre-set message by following the voice instructions of the system. The SMS can be recalled at another time. From the Phone screen, select the ó button then select the desired SMS from the list.

ACTIONS ON THE Uconnect 6.5 Radio Nav SYSTEM Press the NAV button on the panel Press the display and activate the Main Menu Press the Where To? button on the display Press the Address button on the display Enter the name of the town or the postcode Enter the street name Enter the street number then select OK The destination is shown on the Map. Press the Yes button to confirm the selection and start navigation to the set destination. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Note For safety reasons, the mobile phone pairing operation is only permitted when the car is stationary. This pairing procedure is given purely by way of example and may vary depending on the make or model of the mobile phone with Bluetooth technology. If carried out correctly, the system will confirm the pairing, welcome you and ask whether you wish to download the phonebook and call register. This operation can only be performed on mobiles that support this function.
