1 PHONE: (972) Ethan Scott May December 9, June 14, 2016 Ethan Scott May of Plano, Texas passed away June 14, 2016, at the age of 14. He was born December 9, 2001, to Steven Scott May and Paige (Brettel) May in Dallas, Texas. Ethan was an eighth grader at Robinson Middle School in Plano, Texas. He is survived by his mother, Paige Brettel of Plano, Texas; father, Steven Scott May of Addison, Texas; sister, Riley May; grandparents, Edward Brettel of Plano, Texas Karen Sweatt of Rowlett, Texas, Larry May of Elgin, Illinois, and Judy Hanson of Rockford, Illinois. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas. Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. Memorials My heart goes out to Paige and her family. The other day I was driving to my new job, scared and anxious, and Paige popped into my mind. It was a strong, warm feeling and my mind started playing through memories of childhood. I decided to try and find her, to see how she is doing and came across this news. My heart sank and I have thought of her more and more each day. Love and prayers to Paige from an old friend. My heart aches for you and your loss. You will always be dear to me. Trust. Hope. I have some great memories I'm glad to have had you in my life I miss you bro. 4 HOLLY BRETTEL, JUNE 20, 2016 When you came into this world you gave my life it's purpose. I always knew I wanted children, but could never have imagined a child as wonderful as you. The light of your smile, the ringing of your laugh, the mischief in your beautiful blue eyes, the warmth of your hand in mine, the strength of your hugs and how you never let go first, your charm and charisma, your need to protect and defend, your curious and fun-loving nature, your sharp wit and intellect, your fierce loyalty and strength of character, and the most loving, caring heart. The list is endless. I miss you talking to me, sharing with you, your teasing and silliness, but mostly I miss seeing your beautiful smile, how no matter how old you got that you still let me know you needed me, told me you loved me, and wanted to spend your time with me. I'm so lucky I knew you. You were the best gift I've ever been given as you made me a mom; something you made it easy to be, something you told me I was great at, and I promise to continue giving that to Riley, to watch over her for you the way you always did, that I'll make you proud every day that you called me your mom. I can never thank you enough for all the love you gave me and how you changed my life for the better. Hold a place for me baby boy until i can see you and hold you again. Thank you for the memories.
