2 CATEGORIES The Marketing and Interactive Excellence Awards, or short MIXX Awards reward the best Digital & Mobile and Media campaigns in Europe. All European cases that have won a Digital & Mobile or Media award in a national or international award show are invited to participate for free. It s the ultimateopportunity to compete amongst the best cases in Europe. An entry or campaign may be submitted in more than one category and up to 4 categories. MEDIA A. USE OF MEDIA 1. Best use of Interactive Print 2. Best use of Interactive Outdoor 3. Best use of Ambient 4. Best use of Audio (podcast, radio ) 5. Best use of Digital & Interactive Screens 6. Best use of Brand Content 7. Best use of Events 8. Best use of Digital 9. Best use of Social Media 10. Best use of Mobile B. INTEGRATED CAMPAIGN Minimum of 3 different media DIGITAL & MOBILE A. WEB CAMPAIGN Campaigns exclusively created for the Internet B. ONLINE AD Web banner, Interactive and dynamic banner, Innovative online ad, Social video C. ONLINE VIDEO Viral film, Interactive video, Series/Webisodes D. SOCIAL Innovative use of social/community, Best use of blogger/influencer/celebrity, Best use of social data, Digital Application

3 E. INTEGRATED CAMPAIGN Minimum of 3 different elements: , website, banner, mobile F. MOBILE WEBSITE Mobile optimized websites G. MOBILE APPLICATION Applications pre-installed or downloadable from app stores or other platforms H. TABLET Apps, ebooks, downloadable software designed for tablets only. I. GAME Games designed for mobiles, tablets, smartphones NB: The organization reserves the right to modify a category designation if needed, at any time.

4 ELIGIBILITY & JUDGING ELIGIBILITY The competition is an European award opened to all digital, media, advertising and communication agencies. All 2015 & 2016 (Until April 30 th, 2016) winning campaigns and 2016 in a local, regional or global awards show are eligible to compete in the Mixx Awards Europe. Only one party should submit an entry. If the same entry is submitted twice, only the first entry will be accepted. All entries must have been created within the context of a contract with a paying client (except for charity/public interest sector). The client must have paid for all, or the majority, of the entered submission. The organization may contact the advertiser related to any submission at the request of the jury at any time during the judging process in order to receive further information about the campaign. JUDGING CRITERIA Creativity (25%) Execution (25%) Strategy (25%) Results (25%) Jury members cannot vote for their own work (agency and/or advertiser). AWARDS Several Mixx Awards will be distributed: The Mixx Awards Grand Prix Gold Mixx Awards per category Silver Mixx Awards Bronze Mixx Awards Mixx Awards winning Golds will compete for the Leaders Grand Prix. This Grand Prix will be awarded by a jury composed of International advertisers and Head of Media agencies.

5 ENTRY REQUIREMENTS All entries should be completed and uploaded at: For each registration, please provide the elements below: MANDATORY 1. Please upload a case film lasting a maximum of 2 minutes as.mov H p (1920x1080) file. 2. Please upload a descriptive document of 300 words, in.doc format in English including: Strategy This section is worth 25 percent of the overall score. Judges look for a firm understanding of the business/marketing challenge, along with a solid strategy. It is important to demonstrate use of research, creativity, choice of media vehicles and integration with other non-interactive media if appropriate. Execution & Use of Media This section is worth 25 percent of the overall score. How well was the campaign carried out? How creative or sophisticated was the campaign in its use of media? What percent of the campaign budget went to interactive media? How well was technology leveraged? Results & ROI This section is worth 25 percent of the overall score. Did the campaign achieve its objectives and goals, and is there solid empirical evidence to back it up? Did the performance of the campaign have a significant impact on the business? How did the creativity contribute? Creativity Also important, as it accounts for 25 percent of each campaign s total score. Judges will consider such criteria as engagement, unique use of medium, art direction, copywriting, integration with overall campaign, and use of technology. There is a restriction of 5 creative samples you provide. Entries should be submitted in English or in a version with English subtitles (mandatory). Please include necessary explanations if there are, for example, any cultural specificities to clarify. The material sent by participants will be screened to the jury during the judging sessions and during the Awards ceremony. Please make sure the quality is adapted to the festival s requested standards (image and sound) Optional (but strongly advised) 3. A shorter presentation of 40 seconds maximum Award-winning entries will be screened in a short format at the Award Ceremony. If a short version is not submitted, the original version will be used but cut after 40 seconds.

6 VALIDATION ENTER FOR FREE This year, submissions for the MIXX Awards Europe are free*. You re a European agency and your work has been awarded in prestigious local, regional or international awards show, take your chance by submitting your winning work for free. *If you get awarded you are requested to purchase at least one seat to attend the Gala Dinner. REGISTRATION TERMS Entries cannot be cancelled or removed from the competition in any way after April 22nd. Each campaign should be entered as one entry; an entry or campaign may be submitted in more than one category. All entries validated to the final stage will be considered as confirmed. Trophies to be delivered (UPS, DHL...) after the Award Ceremony will be at the agency s charge.
