4 General information Course description The purpose of this conference is to educate and provide the latest practical management and updates, novel therapies, and the morbidity of asthma in our community/state. Who should attend The conference will benefit pediatric primary care physicians, subspecialists, and advanced practitioners and other health professionals. Objectives At the completion of this conference, the participant should be better able to: Identify recent epidemiologic trends in food allergy prevalence and morbidity. Identify complete differential diagnoses of food allergies in children. Discuss pros and cons to various methodology for diagnosing food allergy. Identify when and to whom to refer a patient with suspected food allergies for further evaluation. Discuss recent literature on recommendations for decreasing risk for developing severe food allergies. Identify available community resources for families with a child with food allergies. Food Allergy Myths for thought... 1) True or False: Peanut oil has allergenic properties. 2) True or False: A blood or skin allergy test alone can diagnose a food allergy. * To answer these questions and more, please register online.
