Atlantic Zeiser s PERSOLINE ID system is a flexible, modular manufacturing solution that enables full-color personalization of electronic ID cards with high levels of durability and security. The system leverages the benefits of 4-color drop-on-demand (DoD) inkjet printing with digital UV varnishing, which as an option can be combined with laser personalization. At CARTES Asia, visitors can also learn more about Atlantic Zeiser s CoolShield lamination, a lowtemperature-activated, tamper-evident protective layer for increased security and durability. Our PERSOLINE ID system is ideal for producing highly durable and secure personal electronic ID cards, thanks to its unique combination of highresolution DoD color inkjet and laser-based gray-scale imaging, UV-based varnishing and multi-layer UV lamination all applied to long-life, high-value polycarbonate material, said Friedbert Bayer, Director of Market & Product Management for Card Systems, Atlantic Zeiser. 2 The PERSOLINE ID system is well suited for government-issued ID cards, voter ID cards, driver s licenses, health and welfare cards, and similar identification materials. Its four-color DoD printing technology allows for direct imaging on polycarbonate the de facto standard for card quality and durability, as well as on many other plastic substrates. Using wear-resistant UV-based inks, DoD inkjet produces bright, vivid colors at up to 950-dpi resolution with excellent light fastness. In combination with UV-curable varnishing or CoolShield security lamination, the system delivers secure, long-life, low-cost color personalization. In addition to highlighting the PERSOLINE ID system, Atlantic Zeiser will also provide information on the ALPHA ONE and CARDLINE VERSA Color systems. ALPHA ONE is a compact mid-range laser ID card personalization system for production volumes up to 3,000 cards per hour. It offers contact or contactless personalization, laser marking and MLI-based imaging capabilities. CARDLINE VERSA Color is the company s field-proven full-color card production solution with inline personalization for gift, loyalty, membership and promotional cards a complete card factory in a fraction of the footprint of conventional card operations, providing low-cost cards for short and long runs. All Atlantic Zeiser card personalization systems can be optionally integrated with the company s Personalization Management Platform (PMP), a highly secure client/server-based system that manages card production, personalization and mailing.
