Exercise 2: Push the Altiris Agent Dell Client Manager is an agent based solution which requires an agent to be installed on the target computer. This agent frequently polls the Notification Server based on a user defined polling interval and checks for new policies, tasks to be run, etc. In this exercise, you will push the Altiris agent to client systems, then set the Altiris Agent polling time from 1 hour to 1 minutes. This is never recommended for production environments but is fine for evaluation purposes on a small set of clients. Secondly, you will leverage the discovered network devices from the previous exercise and push out the Altiris Agent to your client system. a. b. c. d. Launch the Dell Management Console if not already running by double-clicking the DELL MANAGEMENT CONSOLE icon on the desktop.
