1 Chugiak School General Elementary The Activity and Athletic Interest Survey is distributed to all schools in the Anchorage School District who serve grades 4 through 12. Its purpose is to determine student involvement in athletics and other activities in both school and the community. Results of the survey are reported to the Office for Civil Rights, Title XI and are used to assist the school district and schools in making decisions about activities and athletics offered. Questions were designed by the ASD departments of elementary and secondary education; community based questions were designed by the Anchorage Youth United Organization in Response Rate Final Number of Survey Responses Enrollment as of 10/07/2013* Current Response Rate Reportable** Chugiak School 332 1, % District 18,896 31, % Yes *Source: Zangle **To determine if a school is reportable the enrollment on the first day of the survey was used as a baseline for calculating the number of surveys necessary (based on a 90% interval and a 10% margin or error) in order to report the results for that population.
