Testing was not considered necessary based on the results of previous investigation. This report must be read in conjunction with: E A60-CB-3-Reissue, Issued: Product Description DC/DC Converter, the product covered in this report are multiply-layers PWB mounted DC to DC converter power supplies designed to meet basic insulation between input and output. Basic insulation is provided between input and output (with or without optional baseplate). Basic insulation is provided between input and optional base plate. Basic insulation is provided between output and optional baseplate. They are provided with terminal pins for connection to their nominal rated DC source of supply and output connection. Model Differences Optional Baseplate with integrated heatsink can be used. Model PKM 4613NH is similar to PKM 4717NH and PKM 4817NH, except for input voltage range and output ratings. Also new PWB (same material and vendor but with a different transformer winding ratio). Model PKM 4717BNH is very similar to PKM 4717NH, it has the same input and output rating, only one critical component has been changed - the printed wire board (for optimization to low ESR output capacitors has a non-critical component been removed and a signal conductor has been re-routed). PKM 4613ANH is very similar to PKM 4613NH, it has the same input rating but the output voltage has been reduced from 12 to 11.6 V, the output current is still the same, no critical components have been changed (the same schematic and components layout). PKM 4817LNH is similar to PKM 4817NH but it has a narrower input voltage range and a droop load sharing function that allows parallel operation. All models have the following suffix: PI - pins for through hole mounting PI may be followed by a combination of the following additional suffixes representing minor differences not

Based on the previously conducted testing and the review of product technical documentation including photos, schematics, wiring diagrams and similar, has been determined that the product continues to comply with the standard. All required tests were carried out under the original investigation Reissue 2: This report is reissue of CBTR Ref. No.: E A60-CB-2, issued and CB Test Certificate Ref. No. DK with the following changes: - upgraded to latest edition of the standard IEC : A1: A2: Change address of Applicant and Manufacturer. No tests conducted under this investigation due to fact that all required tests were carried out under the original investigation. Based on the previously conducted testing and the review of product technical documentation including photos, schematics, wiring diagrams and similar, has been determined that the product continues to comply with the standard. Testing was not considered necessary based on the results of previous investigation. Technical Considerations The product was investigated to the following additional standards: EN : A11: A1: A12: A2:2013 (which includes all European national differences, including those specified in this test report). The all tests have been performed with unit soldering on the Test Board with additional capacitors: 100V 470uF (input line) and 16V 470uF (output line). -- The sample had forced air cooled during the heating test, an external fan provided the airflow condition as follows: the sample in a vertical position, airflow minimum 54CFM (Fan: Multifan 8318 model, Voltage: 48Vdc), Fan distance from unit: 15cm (for PKM 4717NH) and 13cm (for PKM 4817NH), Air-flow direction: from negative to positive, Fan Location: beside the M300. See the test tables for additional information and models. -- These units have been evaluated for BASIC INSULATION between: input to output, input to optional base plate and optional base plate to output. -- Marking label is representative of all models. -- The product was submitted and evaluated for use at the maximum ambient temperature (Tma) permitted by the manufacturer s specification of: determined as 125 C at the reference points (P1, P2, P3 and P4). -- Engineering Conditions of Acceptability When installed in an end-product, consideration must be given to the following: The product has been tested with a 30A external fuse (EF), and re-testing in the end-product is necessary if it is increased. -- The maximum reference temperature specified by the manufacturer: 125 C at P1, P2, P3 and P4,

12 Issue Date: Page 10 of 10 Report Reference # E A60-CB-3 shall not be exceeded, the product may need forced cooling. -- DC/DC converter output is connected to protective earth according to IEC/EN/UL in end use application if supplied by DC mains (unearthed or earthed hazardous voltage secondary circuit) or ELV. -- DC/DC converter output is unearthed or connected to functional or protective earth according to IEC/EN/UL in the end use application if supplied by TNV-1 (unearthed or earthed) or TNV-2 or TNV3 or SELV (unearthed or earthed). -- The output voltage remains within SELV limits, even with internally generated non-selv voltages under normal and abnormal testing conditions. This was demonstrated by performing Abnormal Tests including single component failure with various grounding conditions, and with the input and output floating. In all cases the output voltage did not exceed SELV. -- This power supply shall be installed in compliance with the enclosure, mounting, creepage, clearance, casualty, and segregation requirements of the ultimate application. -- Consideration should be given to measuring the temperatures on power electronic components, coils, and transformer windings when the power supply is installed in the end-use equipment. -- Temperature 130 C shall not be exceeded on printed wiring board surface in the end product application. -- The end-product Electric Strength Test is to be based upon a maximum working voltage of 82 V peak considered: 1100 Vdc between input/output shall be used for Electric Strength. -- The following secondary output circuits are SELV: All outputs -- The following secondary output circuits are at hazardous energy levels: All outputs -- The power supply terminals and/or connectors are: Suitable for factory wiring only -- The investigated Pollution Degree is: 2 -- The following end-product enclosures are required: Electrical, Fire -- Abbreviations used in the report: - normal condition...
