3 Go over anatomical position which is the reference position for all landmarks and movements shared by medical professionals across the world. The figure is standing in the anatomical position with the palms facing forward The fundamental position is identical to the anatomical, but the palms are facing the thighs in a natural everyday position. If the reference position is fundamental it will be noted; otherwise, always use the anatomical position for reference. 1. Frontal forehead at forefront of body 2.
