5 ITINERARY OF TOURS Saturday, 02 September 2017 Arrival Day Transfer from Florence Airport or Florence train station to Castello di Santa Maria Novella Sunday, 03 September 2017 Volterra and San Gimignano including a dairy farm visit Today enjoy a full day excursion (8 hours) to San Gimignano and Volterra with your private vehicle and English-speaking assistant. Your first stop will be the Tuscan hill town of Volterra, home of some of Italy's best small museums. Visit the unique collection of the Etrusco Guarnacci Museum and the unfinished Duomo. After lunch at leisure (payable locally) continue on to the picturesque medieval town of San Gimignano, known for its surviving towers. Visit the Collegiata containing 15th century frescoes, the Palazzo del Popolo, now the municipal museum containing Renaissance paintings, and the Church of Sant'Agostino. (2 hrs private guided tour of each town) This afternoon you will visit a typical Tuscan farmhouse where you will enjoy a cheese tasting. The owner will give you a brief introduction of what they do on their estate followed by an explanation about Pecorino and Ricotta making. You will be able to visit the laboratory, learn about the entire process of cheese making! Page 5 of 9

6 Monday, 04 September 2017 Wine tasting and lunch at Castello di Monterinaldi L Today you will be met at your hotel by your English-speaking assistant and private vehicle and you will be transferred to Castello di Monterinaldi for a private tour of the cellar with a full explanation of Monterinaldi's winemaking. Afterwards you will enjoy a homemade full lunch in the 1700's villa complete with guided tasting of 4 different wines and Vin Santo (dessert wine). Lunch includes appetizers, pasta course, main course, side dish and dessert. After lunch you will be transferred back to your hotel. Tuesday, 05 September 2017 Cooking lesson and dinner at Castello di Sonnino D FULL DAY LESSONS OF TUSCANY (Photography, Cooking, Ceramic and Water Color Painting) o 7-10 AM Photography (max 6) o 10AM-12PM Cooking class (max 6) o 10AM-12PM & 3-5PM Ceramic Painting (max 6 per session) o 10AM-12PM & 3-5PM Watercolor Painting (max 6 per session) This afternoon you will be met at your hotel by your English-speaking assistant and private vehicle and you will be transferred to Castello di Sonnino where you will enjoy a cooking lesson and a delicious dinner. Castello di Sonnino is a place of great historical relevance, its original structure dated XVI century still intact, is part of the Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane (ADSI). The castle is also an important winery that produces high quality of wines. Today the Castle invites you...not only to taste his products but also to discover the typical food of his land handed down through generations as a cultural heritage of Tuscany. They use local products at km 0 because the excellence of the raw material is essential to ensure the quality of the dishes. During the course, their recipes will be made starting from appetizers to dessert. The recipes range depending on the season as they only use fresh ingredients. The food prepared is then tasted by the guests during the dinner. The courses, lasting about 3/4 hours, taking place in the Enoteca, are hold by the family cook who will teach you our secret recipes. 7 Wednesday, 06 September 2017 Siena walking tour and ceramic factory visit Depart your hotel this morning by private vehicle with your English-speaking assistant for a half day walking tour of the lovely Tuscan town of Siena. In Siena you will be met by a local English-speaking guide for a two-hour walking tour to include the Piazza del Campo and the Duomo, one of the finest Gothic cathedrals in Italy. After lunch at leisure (payable locally) you will enjoy a visit of ceramics workshop. Here, a staff member of this lovely workshop will give you a brief tour (up to ½ hour) of the workshop. Thursday, 07 September 2017 Truffle hunting, wine tasting and lunch at Foresteria Villa Cerna L This morning you will be met at your hotel by your English-speaking assistant and private vehicle and you will be privately transferred to the Foresteria Villa Cerna for a wonderful full day tour including truffle hunting, wine tastings and a delicious lunch. Upon your arrival you meet a man, and his dog, passionate about Truffles and their history. During this morning s adventure, you are guided through the beautiful Tuscan woods in search of this luxury ingredient. Your guide takes you through the history, traditions, legends, and magic of the Truffle and how to recognize a good one from a fake, of inferior quality. Afterwards you indulge in a welldeserved, traditional lunch based around fresh truffles and a wine tasting. Page 7 of 9

8 Friday, 08 September 2017 Super Tuscan wine tour L 9:00am 3:00pm A discovery experience through vineyards, olive groves, noble castles and villas. This will be a feast for the senses as you learn to distinguish wine scents and flavors. Let us introduce you to the quintessence of Tuscan wines: the world-renowned Super Tuscans. You will visit 3 wineries, led by a Sommelier. Wineries could be: Bargino, Nozzole, Gabbiano or Montiani. A final stop at a noble Villa will let you enjoy a gourmet lunch in its enoteca, set in the 1000-year-old cellar.
