Capacities Tons MBH HIGH EFFICIENCY, PACKAGED SPACE CONDITIONING DX System IEER> 13.2 Gas Heat Efficiency > 92% HIGH EFFICIENCY RTU kw 3,000-11,550 CFM
Comfort Comfort is determined by many factors. Air flow Temperature Activity Internal load External load Desired conditions Comfort also comes at an operational cost. There is a solution...reznor HVAC equipment. Unit Selection The online performance calculator lets you tailor the unit to your needs. This moves your design away from canned equipment to custom specified for your job. The future in web enabled software used by Reznor Agents gives you these custom selections
Energy Efficiency Pick a unit that delivers year-round savings. Select a unit with BOTH high efficiency DX and condensing gas heat. If you only pick high efficiency DX, you are missing more than half the energy savings possible. In North America there are typically more heating hours than cooling hours. IEER % Gas Efficiency Total Building Energy Usage Building Function vs. Usage Type Example: 70% of the total energy used in a religious worship building is for HVAC, and 60% of total energy is heating. Building Type % of Buildings Space Heating Space Cooling Ventilation HVAC System % of Total Building Energy Religious Worship 7.6% 60% 7% 3% 70% Public Assembly 5.7% 53% 10% 17% 80% Education 7.9% 47% 10% 10% 67% Service 12.8% 46% 5% 8% 59% Public Order and Safety 1.5% 43% 8% 8% 59% Warehouse and Storage 12.3% 43% 3% 4% 50% Health Care 2.7% 38% 7% 7% 52% Office 17.0% 35% 10% 6% 50% Retail (Other Than Mall) 13.5% 34% 8% 5% 46% Lodging 2.9% 22% 5% 3% 30% Food Service 6.1% 17% 7% 6% 29% Food Sales 4.7% 14% 5% 3% 22% Source: U.S. Dept. of Energy CBECS Studies Food service, 47% energy usage for refrigeration More than 10 Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) reports the typical office building has $2.32 per square foot (psf) worth of utilities bills. Saving 10% heating fuel usage could easily translate into more than 10 cents psf savings. For new LEED building construction, the utility target could be $1.80 psf. Building owners selecting conventional HVAC equipment will not reach this target. The YDSA gives the design professional a balanced approach utilizing high efficiency cooling and heating.
The Reznor Model YDSA Supply Fan VFD - Standard Corrosion-Proof, Double-Slope, Condensate Drain Pan - Exceeds Std :1 Gas Modulation - Stable Temperature Control Heating When it comes to heating efficiency and reliability, Reznor leads the world. The Platform 125 products carry the fourth generation of condensing 90+% heat sections and fifth generation of standard efficiency 80+% heat sections. And don t forget, for many climates, heating (versus cooling) is where the savings potential really exists. Features: 5:1 or 10:1 gas modulation 2 or 4 stage gas & electric control 92% & 80% gas heating efficiency Constant thermal efficiency gas heating during modulation 409 stainless steel heat exchangers SCR electric heat control ANSI certified Anti-cycle program Safeties and alarms Condensate neutralizer Slide-out service & inspection Cooling To enhance the cooling side efficiency, these units employ the best-in-class components. The design allows the unit to achieve IEER up to 13.3 which simply translates into lower operational costs. Features: Energy efficient digital scroll compressors 10%-100% capacity control ECM condenser fans Low ambient operation Corrosion-proof, double sloped drain pan Sound blankets Coil coating Ozone friendly R410A Froststat, high and low pressure switches Anti-cycle programs Comparison of Systems 95% Reznor Deep Modulation Condensing Equipment Gas Modulation Efficiency Total cost of ownership is the truest measure of value for your HVAC investment. The ability to modulate input allows greater control over constantly changing load conditions. Most heating systems lose over 6.25% of their thermal efficiency when modulating. Reznor models start with high efficiency and maintain that efficiency throughout the modulation range to maximize your HVAC investment dollars. Efficiency 75% 100% 75% 50% 25% 0% Firing Rate 90% 85% 80% Conventional HVAC Equipment Reznor Standard Modulation Equipment
Features & Benefits Dehumidification Circuit - Meets Std 62.1 & 90.1 Supply Fan The supply fan is the heart of the system and the one component in a package unit that impacts all other mechanical functions. Platform 125 units exhibit state of the art fan technology and system design. Features: Direct drive plenum fan ABB VFD control (standard) Duct pressure control Building pressure control Adjustable constant volume Slide-out servicing Phase loss protection Direct CFM measurement Construction It all has to come together. The units are designed to withstand the rigors of weather conditions around the world and operate at the highest efficiency with the least amount of cabinet thermal loss. Features Foam panel double wall construction R13 insulation value Renewable/organic insulation material Safe bottom lifting Pre-painted G90 galvanized steel to meet ASTM B-117 for 1,000 hours salt spray Hinged doors Lockable doors Easy access to components Revit Models Design teams are increasingly utilizing 3D tools to better layout building systems. Reznor brand products support this effort with REVIT drawings. The models have been specifically implemented to make the design professional work easier, faster and more accurate.
Energy Recovery Energy Recovery Energy recovery systems recover exhaust air energy and reintroduce it into the conditioned space. Model YDSA, with the total enthalpy energy recovery module, integrates this savings allowing greater application flexibility. Features: CFM over energy wheel Integrated power, controls, and mechanical ARI rated internal enthalpy wheel Superior sensible and latent performance Minimal cross contamination (less than 5%) Slide out servicing Optional low ambient control kit for temperatures below 10 F Electric preheat Standard filtration (MERV8) Standard barometric relief exhaust damper Can handle unbalanced air flows More Capacity Combinations The YDSA allows for more combinations of heating and cooling than traditional units. This gives the building designer more application flexibility, allowing a better match of heat/cool capacities to various building loads. Gas Heat Input DX Capacity Size 80% 92%
Controls Control System The Model YDSA control system was specifically designed to meet demanding space control applications. It has the ideal blend of custom unit performance without overwhelming the user with unnecessary setpoints, menus and confusing complex sequences. When needed, the unit gives the right information at the right time, but most of the time it works behind the scene just like you want it to. Features Standard unit mounted display Optional remote display(s) Native BacNet & Lon communication Test mode and start-up operation Controller level status lights Quick setpoint menus Permanent unit memory back-up Unit safeties Anti-cycle program Alarm & Recovery High discharge air temperature Low discharge air temperature No flow Failed sensor(s) Phase loss/ brownout Smoke Mechanical heat 5 alarms codes 10 error codes Mechanical cooling 7 alarm codes Intelligent system recovery Sequences of Operation Supply air constant volume Supply air variable volume Duct static & building static Demand ventilation Exhaust fan matching Summer/winter fan speed Space fan speed control Manual & external control Power exhaust control Mixed air damper controls Duct static & building static Demand ventilation Exhaust fan matching Manual & external control Energy recovery Thermostat control VAV sequence Single zone VAV Precision DDC control Space Control Sequence The unit shall operate to maintain space temperature control through use of thermostat. When there is a call for cooling, the unit will operate to maintain user adjustable F discharge air temperature. When there is a call for space heating the unit will maintain an adjustable sliding discharge air temperature from 90 to 110 F based upon outdoor conditions. When the thermostat does not require cooling or heating the supply fan will drop to a user define low setting; otherwise the supply fan operates to maintain design CFM values. Option CL23
