Our programs are designed not only to increase performance ability, but also to provide fun, recreation, and offer the opportunity to meet new friends. Consult your physician before beginning any exercise program. Do not quit before you have a chance to experience the rewards of a better and fitter you. All our classes can be paced by each individual to suit your personal needs. Sixteen and seventeen year olds, who would like to participate in our fitness classes need to have a parent sign the registration form before they can participate. Because of space availability, participants are only allowed to attend the program they have registered for and MAY NOT make-up classes missed. Participants must register prior to attending any classes, attendance will be taken. In order to reduce salt and dirt from being tracked into the community center, the Geneva Park District requests that participants in fitness classes change from their street shoes to aerobic/athletic shoes before entering the exercise area

We will be playing a variety of games, yoga, sports, obstacle courses and more. Participants will enhance their coordination and social skills. Forget push-ups and sit-ups, we play fun games like noodle tag, mousetrap, gladiator and more. Balls, hula hoops, jump ropes, parachutes will help guide us through our activities. The hour long program will not only give kids a great workout, but will also let them have fun while learning something at the same time. Instructor: Fit Kids Staff. The focus of the class will change each week to include endurance, speed interval, heart rate training, cross training and more! 45 minute work out session followed by 15 minute discussion. This will be geared for people who are already active and want a good stretch and relaxation from the stress they put on their body. We will focus on stretching tight muscles. 3 Over 1000 Pounds Lost! Move it to Lose It Fitness Challenge Ages 18+ Get ready to improve your lifestyle and make positive changes towards a healthier you! With the guidance of a certified personal trainer and a registered dietician, participants will take a journey towards a healthier lifestyle. This challenge encourages participants to lose weight and feel great. Each participant receives 5 (1/2 hour) personal training sessions and the opportunity to earn more throughout the challenge! Participants will be confidentially weighed in every Monday evening at 5:45 pm followed by a one hour nutritional class. The winner of the challenge will receive a FREE one year membership to the Stephen D. Persinger Recreation Center. There will be an optional confidential weigh in at the beginning and end of the challenge. Each teen will participate in a weekly workout session, followed by a nutrition and goal setting discussion. Each participant will also receive 3 (1/2 hour) one on one personal training sessions. Gaining positive self esteem and body image will be our main objective during this challenge.
